Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter typically isn’t considered a dirty player around the National Hockey League, but he’ll likely be getting a call from the Department of Player Safety after this play on Tuesday night. During the Wild’s contest against the Penguing in Pittsburgh, Suter caught Pens forward Steve Downie up high with an elbow to the face, sending him crashing to the ice and – ultimately – to the locker room with an injury.

Rinaldo's on the John Scott/Raffi Torres/Steve Downie/Dan Carcillo level of being nothing but bad for the game.
