The #RedSox announce hitting coach Greg Colbrunn suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, but believe he will have a ful/healthy recovery.
@PeteAbe
#RedSox say Colbrunn is expected to make a “good recovery.” He is hospitalized in Cleveland.

You make a good point. Although Minnesota has Mayo, Boston has many great hospitals, as does New York and the list goes on. Pretty much every major league city has great medical care facilities that deal with situations like this.PeaceSignMoose said:Jesus, you never want to hear something like that. But, I will say that if you HAVE to get sick, Cleveland isn't a horrible place for that to happen. The Cleveland Clinic is excellent.
We all talk quite a bit about how much money players earn. We don’t talk enough about how often they put their money to good use.
Case in point: After Red Sox hitting coach Greg Colbrunn was hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage last week, several players chipped in to charter a private jet for his wife and mother, who flew from their home in Charleston, S.C., to join Colbrunn in Cleveland.
The leaders of the effort, according to clubhouse sources, were second baseman Dustin Pedroia and pitchers John Lackey and Jon Lester.
Otis Foster said:It was also interesting to see who led the charge. Pedey and Lester sure, but Lackey?
Maybe time to rethink how I feel about him.
That is great. He and his family must feel tremendously relieved right now.soxhop411 said:“@GordonEdes: Great news: hitting coach Greg Colbrunn returns to team tomorrow medically cleared”
