"At the beginning of 2003 when the Red Sox were holding auditions for the organist, I knew someone who was working for the team at the time, because he’s someone I had written songs with. He was familiar with my playing and my style and he knew that I was a big baseball fan."
"But he was in the position to recommend me to the audition committee, and that helped me get a foot in the door, and that enabled me to go in for a couple of rounds of auditions."

That was a really nice interview!
Maybe Josh can get with the DJ and suggest some songs that he can
play that will #makefenwaysingagain!

Sox DJ is the same as the Pats DJ; it's TJ Connelly, and his musical taste is awesome. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I've tweeted at him a bunch (@senatorjohn) with requests at both venues (that he's been awesome enough to almost always play).
