That’s from the Onion right?Wow. Fuck Tom Brady. A few extra million was all it took? Here's hoping that cliff hits you right in the face.

Thats fake Mike FelgerFelger (I know) tweeted last night: quarterback #TomBrady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a 2 year, 62 million dollar deal. Brady will have full control over offensive play calling, as well as personal.

Wonder how close that is to *gulp* reality?
You're a clown.Wow. Fuck Tom Brady. A few extra million was all it took? Here's hoping that cliff hits you right in the face.
Yeah, I blame Sanu.Last pass was the Logan Ryan pick-6. That’s going to annoy me.
I assume he meant "personnel". But what does that mean? That Brady has full control over what players the Bucs have? So he's the GM there now too?Felger (I know) tweeted last night: quarterback #TomBrady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a 2 year, 62 million dollar deal. Yes. Why is it ok to play for less money his whole career but now it's all about that might dollar? I mean, my fault for actually believing he was above such things, don't get me wrong. But this really tarnishes his story for me.Really? Fuck Tom Brady?
Probably every other player in history would have retired on top after the SB win and we wouldn’t be sweating any of this.Last pass was the Logan Ryan pick-6. That’s going to annoy me.
Aside from Ted Williams, I don't think anyone remembers how iconic players ended their careers on the field. As has been quoted in this thread, if things didn't end badly they wouldn't end at all.Last pass was the Logan Ryan pick-6. That’s going to annoy me.
But let's give Devin McCourty money?Kind of numb but prepared myself for this as Bill isn't going to hamstring the team with a salary for TB just to sign him for sentimental reasons. Have to think Bill had a number and wouldn't move off it and he has a post Brady plan.
THAT IS NOT MIKE FELGER.I assume he meant "personnel". But what does that mean? That Brady has full control over what players the Bucs have? So he's the GM there now too?
LOLOL
Is your take that since they literally could not afford $25-$30M for Brady they shouldn't sign defensive guys? But let's give Devin McCourty money?
Don'y really like either McCourty extension now. We're onto the rebuild.
Ah, yes. In the hysteria I failed to check my sources - apologies.Thats fake Mike Felger
Um, yeah? The McCourty deal was pretty fair for both sides. But let's give Devin McCourty money?
You are out of your mind. "He won us 6 Super Bowls being underpaid, why does he want to be treated better now?" is quite a take.Yes. Why is it ok to play for less money his whole career but now it's all about that might dollar? I mean, my fault for actually believing he was above such things, don't get me wrong. But this really tarnishes his story for me.
Or it is time to realize the Pats won’t be the Pats without Brady. That is okay.Kind of numb but prepared myself for this as Bill isn't going to hamstring the team with a salary for TB just to sign him for sentimental reasons. Have to think Bill had a number and wouldn't move off it and he has a post Brady plan.
Come on man. "Letting" him?I just can't believe that the Patriots are letting him play in another jersey.
I mean people make typos, but Felger's a journalist. Personal?Felger (I know) tweeted last night: quarterback #TomBrady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a 2 year, 62 million dollar deal. Brady will have full control over offensive play calling, as well as personal.

I didn't say it was. I was questioning even the content of the tweet, no matter who wrote it.THAT IS NOT MIKE FELGER.
Let's be better folks.
This move is intended to avoid being mediocre for the foreseeable future. I'm interested to see what happensThis is the end of the Patriots dynasty. Back to mediocrity for the foreseeable future.
I take responsibility for this - orig post edited.THAT IS NOT MIKE FELGER.
Let's be better folks.
I think it is more why pay for an aging (albeit still really good) safety to captain the secondary of a team that is looking like it won’t be in the playoffs. Is your take that since they literally could not afford $25-$30M for Brady they shouldn't sign defensive guys?
I remember watching the 4th quarter of the 2018 AFC championship game at KC and thinking "No way he does this again, right?"....of course he did and ripped the heart out of Chiefs fans (for one more year anyway). Even at the time, it kind of felt like his swan song. It's more obvious in retrospect of course. But you could never count the dude out. We're onto the rebuild.
I'm oddly not too upset by this. The weeks and months of stories and rumors did soften the blow I guess. Nevertheless, it just feels like finishing the best book I ever read. The only other sports-related thing I'll ever experience is when Messi decides to hang it up for Barca.
When these guys are on your team, you know you had the best and most clutch player on the field. If there was even a sliver of a chance they could win, they'd find it and rip it away from their opponents mercilessly. TB is an assassin on the football field. His career is a goddamn fairy tale and it was a privilege to root for him. GOAT.
The best path forward is probably bad next year, crush the next two drafts, and then compete again. This move is intended to avoid being mediocre for the foreseeable future. I'm interested to see what happens
So he played a good 10yrs below market value but because he finally decided he wanted closer to market value that tarnishes his story? Are you fucking kidding me. Not to mention we don't even know if NE offered him a contract at all at this point. They aren't exactly flush with cap space right now.Yes. Why is it ok to play for less money his whole career but now it's all about that might dollar? I mean, my fault for actually believing he was above such things, don't get me wrong. But this really tarnishes his story for me.
I am out if my mind as well, absolutely. This is a guiy punch. But tha'ts not what my take is. Part of what I loved about him was that he was willing to put salary aside for the game. And again, totally my fault for believing that. I actually feel a bit silly. But this shatters that illusion. You are out of your mind. "He won us 6 Super Bowls being underpaid, why does he want to be treated better now?" is quite a take.
Fake Felger - my fault. Carry on.I mean people make typos, but Felger's a journalist. Personal?
LOL - “well sure they got a Super Bowl out of it but...”View: https://twitter.com/BenVolin/status/1239898138070126600?s=20
Never mind, I found the official dumbest take on this. Christ is Volin thick as pigshit.
