He hasn’t been good since the injury. I doubt he’s fully healthy. He had the worst game I’ve seen him play.

This. I started mentioning it after Game 3, but he's had at least 3-4 chances now that an NHL player should have buried, and not only has he not, most of the time, he's missed wide, so he isn't even in a spot to get one of Anderson's juicy rebounds. With the chances he's had, the fact that he has one goal is a travesty, and may very well be the reason these teams are still playing each other.Rick Nash is useless in the playoffs, I hate that trade again.
8 shots, drew 2 penalties.Rick Nash is useless in the playoffs, I hate that trade again.
I agree, he's been a big disappointment and needs to bury those chances.This. This is exactly who he was in NY. Did everything else well but couldn't score goals.8 shots, drew 2 penalties.
Sucks he is snakebit, but he’s not floating around or invisible.
Post of the night.Great now because of this bullshit I’m out for a good chunk of G6 for a wake. Wife’s yiayia lived for 95 years but couldn’t hold on a few more days until a more convenient time for me to watch hockey.
Ok, but what is he supposed to do? Not shoot? Pass more? This is exactly who he was in NY. Did everything else well but couldn't score goals.
I agree with you. I don't think he can do anything else differently. He's been a good player this series. He's had a ton of chances they just aren't going in.Ok, but what is he supposed to do? Not shoot? Pass more?
He is making a positive impact. He’s creating scoring chances, putting them on the power play, and keeping play in the offensive end. The process is there. Just have to keep at it until they go in. It sucks the goals aren’t going in, but he’s been a positive.
Heinen and Nash seemed invisibleThe 3rd line is where more ire should be directed. 1,2 and 4 were good.
Backes is at least cleaning up some chances as the garbage man in front, but they’ve been a non-factor after we were all excited to have Riley bring his line 1 play with him to the 3rd. Toronto’s pace is likely an issue there. None of them have much pace to their game. The 3rd line is where more ire should be directed. 1,2 and 4 were good.
6 power plays? Maybe I need to check the box score. You lose with a 6-1 power play advantage
Save your energy. He sucked when they traded for him, and clearly that thread has continued.I'm literally seeking out good Rick Nash moments. He's been fucking non existent
He's not snakebit, he's taking low percentage shots and skating like he's in cement.8 shots, drew 2 penalties.
Sucks he is snakebit, but he’s not floating around or invisible.
Didn't like the trade when it happened, was pleasantly surprised for a week, have returned to thinking it was a big mistake. Also, I'm back to hoping we don't resign him, regardless of what he does the rest of the playoffs.
This, and McAvoy has been not his usual self. Unsure if that’s injury or rust.I don't think Bergeron was 100%. Lots of shifts he seemed to be just sort of floating.
He did draw a penalty. All I’ve got.I'm literally seeking out good Rick Nash moments. He's been fucking non existent
Coming up empty on the 5 on 3 was a killer, you 100% have to bury one there. You lose with a 6-1 power play advantage
He had wrist shot from the slot that went wide because his stick got slashed and broke in two. He had the rebound early in the 3rd that he back handed wife from the slot. He's not snakebit, he's taking low percentage shots and skating like he's in cement.
I'd also put the defensemen outside of Krug and Chara before Nash on the list of people that need to give more.He had wrist shot from the slot that went wide because his stick got slashed and broke in two. He had the rebound early in the 3rd that he back handed wife from the slot.
The perception is that he has been bad is because he has been noticeable. He’s buzzing around the offensive end, getting shots and chances, they aren’t going in. I’d rather that than a non-existent where you don’t even notice they are on the ice. As a line they have drawn a ton of penalties, and scored a few goals.
The third line has been non-existent. Haven’t scored a single goal at even strength this series. That would be more of a problem than Rick Nash or any of the 2nd liners.
lol, there was no hiding last night.Sox game looking like a better choice ATM. FFS.
NBC broadcast called it on one of the last replays of the game. Marshy and another Bruin were parked around the crease, but Andersen still had a clear view of the puck. Considering how many rebounds he gives up, this is a viable strategy. Definitely a job for Rick and maybe Backes, and the entire Merlot line.If it comes to it, park Z or Rick in front of the net for the 6 on 5
I'm not even talking about what was the problem in the game, I just am not impressed with Rick Nash and expect more from him. He's literally coasting around the ice and taking opportunistic shots that aren't even hitting the net.He had wrist shot from the slot that went wide because his stick got slashed and broke in two. He had the rebound early in the 3rd that he back handed wife from the slot.

I just disagree that he is coasting and taking opportunistic shots.I'm not even talking about what was the problem in the game, I just am not impressed with Rick Nash and expect more from him. He's literally coasting around the ice and taking opportunistic shots that aren't even hitting the net.
Having said that, he's not even problem 10 for why they lost last night, I'm just complaining about him.
I agree with cshea. He also hit the post off of a deflection, and created chances with his forechecking. Yeah, he didn't score, but he's creating opportunities.I just disagree that he is coasting and taking opportunistic shots.
I'm going to use math here for a second.I was fairly inebriated last night and have tried to forget the game to a certain degree, but I don't have fond memories of Pasta's performance. 10 SOG and no goals is not a good stat.
