You saw an all-time classic great game.We did. I was there. I'm old.
I was famous there too. Long story. Best 2 weeks of my life. You saw an all-time classic great game.
Biden, is that before or after taxes?I have Nova winning it all. And if Cuse wins, and Nova wins on Monday, I get $6k. I didn't blow a chance to hedge this Cuse/UNC game, right?
Up 11 with no Brice for a long stretch and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from deep...I enjoyed it.That half was annoying.
It's over. When they closed to 8 that was there shot. Margin for error tiny. Only shot was NC not hitting 3s.This isn't over
Especially with these refs
Prom nightAfter the las final four in Houston, the shooting was awful, and I remember some suggestion the rims were too tight.
I was saying the same thing but then just when SU got back into the game, down 7 with plenty of time left, Carolina started burying every three they took. They're just...really, really good.Goddamn they are killing us inside and 0-10 outside yet we refuse to collapse the zone and make them shoot! Wtf
I agree. Just saying that was really their only shot.I was saying the same thing but then just when SU got back into the game, down 7 with plenty of time left, Carolina started burying every three they took. They're just...really, really good.
Yes, these games have been pretty lame in general, after the insanity of the first two days.So many blowouts this tourney, especially starting with the Sweet 16. Fairly boring tourney.
That said, Nova-UNC could be a classic.
Edit: starting with the Sweet 16, there have been 14 games. Those 14 games have been decided by:
14
16
23
14
15
13
5
3
5
12
14
6
17
44
That is an average of over 14 PPG, with only 4 of 14 games < 10 point margin. Blech.
It was lame. I was rooting hard for Nova and I couldn't be happier they won. But it was beyond lame.I didn't think the Nova game was lame at all.
Unc has been great this tourney at playing slow or fast.. ND tried to slow it down and UNC just pounded them down low.. They have a good combo of bigs and guards.A couple quick keys for me for tonight:
-Can Nova stop UNC in transition? Roy's teams always look to run when possible. Getting into a track meet with UNC probably isn't a wise idea, and I'd imagine Wright will try to slow the pace down somewhat. Nova doesn't need to run to get good looks on offense, and while UNC is stupid athletic they're not a great defensive team. I'd imagine they'll try to slow the game down somewhat- not to UVA-esque levels, but at least hold up at times and work in the half-court. They may need to sacrifice some offensive rebounding clout to make sure they're back defensively, which leads to...
-Rebounding. UNC will almost always have 3 6'9+ guys on the floor. Does Wright stick with his generally smaller lineups so as not to get killed on the glass. Hart and (to a lesser extent) Jenkins are capable rebounders, but maybe we'll see even more Bridges tonight. You can't stop UNC on the glass, but you can limit them, and keeping their 2nd chance points to a minimum will go a long way towards limiting them offensively.
