United-Liverpool get things underway this morning....
I hate lunchtime kickoffs.
Alexander Arnold not having a great day
Why have Van Dijk in the team if Lovren is still going to be up for aerials against Lukaku?
Why is Liverpool not marking Mata?
Henderson being out is much a bigger hit than I'd expected. Can is not showing up whatsoever for that back line in that #6 role
The ref is letting United get away with a bit more than some others would.
Not missing clear fouls, but letting a bit of clutching and grabbing go, especially against Salah.
So many good balls played across the mouth of goal and nothing - sigh....
No clue what Karius was up to on the second goal. Way out of position. I know there was a deflection but he certainly overplayed it.
Valencia's arm looked to be dangling there - but I'd rather they keep playing than all stop and turn to the official
I'm more annoyed at how much grabbing Ashley Young is getting away with than I am about that ball off Valencia's arm.
And now Salah gets blatantly thrown to the ground, but no call.
Another shove by Young, proceeded immediately by a handball by Matic
edit: and no yellow for Sanchez blocking the quick free kick
Some of Liverpool's final third passing, from Ox and Mane hasn't been good enough. It's going to take timing and precision and it's been lacking. Full marks to Mourinho for setting his team out right and getting the players to carry out the game plan. Bit of a wake up call for Liverpool. It doesn't feel like they have a plan B, which they need right now. And it shows up some positional deficiences (centre Mid and Centre back) which most keen observers knew existed but recent results had somehwat papered over the cracks because Liverpool have been so convincing going forwards. But this is a good, stern test for Liverpool and they still have a bit of a cushion over Chelsea in fifth spot.
Is Young invisible to the refs?
We still deserve to be behind but this refereeing is maddening.
Pawson stops the quick throw-in by Alexander-Arnold due to him being too far upfield, TAA takes it again from the same spot
What is going on
HAHAHA I'll take it.
That's a spectacular finish if he would have done that into the correct goal.
A gift. That Man U defender won't score a much better goal than that to be fair. A fine finish.
Nice 4 minute delay here. Drag him off already.
If having Young on the pitch wasn't annoying enough, here comes Fellaini.
Sideshow Bob is giving us a penalty. Just wait.
Too many stray passes from Liverpool. Not sure if they can get behind them, not sure if they can play through them, and they're getting no joy at corners.
Lallana had Robertson clear ahead of him
We going to get about 8 minutes of extra time?
I reckon four minutes. Should be six or seven.
Only if Liverpool tie it and United are going forward.
There it was
Firmino showing off gives the ball away.
Going for the old 2-4-4 formation, I guess.
Liverpool have done a lot of huffing and puffing this half, but have they had a shot on target?
Why did the game stop? This ref is awful
WTF is this stoppage?
Not even close to a head injury. Hilarious
O/U on extra time 3.5 minutes. Bet the under.
Karius with the massive sweeper keeper move there.
Liverpool have been poor today.
Two Route 1 goals do it.
Liverpool didn't really deserve anything, but just annoying to watch.
Letting them kill the last minute with a substitution pretty much sums up the day.
Lol boo hoo
It’s not the head on his shoulders, but there’s nothing hilarious about getting kicked there.
Liverpool got nothing from all those corners. I havent seen the stats, but i don't recall them having a shot on target in the second half. Mane gave the ball away far too much. Man U tactics were spot on. Snuffed out Liverpool's forward threat.
You deserve the win but the inconsistency is crazy in this league. Some weeks we’ve benefitted but I’d rather they just get it right every week.
Toom army up after less than two minutes.
"Lost your love of life, too much apple pie"
Lee Mason is really terrible at his job. Just waived off 2 clear handballs away from the body, one in the box.
West Ham gives up a goal after being the better team. Multiple pitch invaders. Quick second, then a third. Owners asked to leave by security. It's a true mess. Going down for sure.
All the games at the bottom of the table went pretty much the way I wanted. Fingers crossed Palace can continue being Chelsea’s bogey team. Wilf is back, but on the bench to start.
