Ugh. Yes the one before was probably a penalty, but that makeup is criminal.
West Ham almost have a full game where they don't get screwed by a ref decision.... so close.

Wow. That decision may well have tilted the title race. 3 point swing and Leicester still have Man U, Everton and Chelsea to go. Wow
Except LC is better than those two teams.

Now, without Vardy, that will make things harder.

Worth mentioning that Tottenham is 9 goals ahead on goal difference. So if the teams are tied on points, Leicester almost certainly lose the title
Yup. Hard to imagine any circumstance in which Spurs catch them but do not have a superior goal difference.

Not having Vardy against the Swans will hurt.

What are these douchebags talking about?
"Ulloa: Must be the biggest moment of his career!" - taking a penalty.
2-2: "The dream is alive!" Now being ahead by 4 or 5 points, if Tottenham win their game. The dream is alive, just because they get a point! If they had lost, they would have been relegated!

The scenarios now are getting relatively straightforward.

Feels to me like the rest of the season is now pretty much down to Spurs one way or the other. I don't see Leicester City getting 8 points out of their last four games. That's three wins or two wins and two draws. Possible, but I think it will be very hard.

I think Spurs need to take all 15 points. If they do, I think they will be champions. If not, I think it's Leicester.

Tottenham basically have cookies from here on in. LC have some challenges. It's going to be decided on the last day against Chelsea.

Today's two dropped points are simply huge.

Not sure I would call all Spurs' remaining games cookies: Stoke (A), West Brom (H), Chelsea (A), Southampton (H), Newcastle (A).

I certainly think they should be favorite in all 5, but only the West Brom game IMO is a gimme, although if Newcastle are already down by the last day of the season then that one is a gimme too. Stoke, Southampton, and Chelsea all have the ability to cause problems.

Vardy might miss two games if the Ref includes Vardy's verbals and finger pointing in his match report. Feels like it's going to go to the wire.

That link goes to a story about Brewers minor leaguers.

http://www.espnfc.com/leicester-city/story/2853361/leicesters-jamie-vardy-charged-with-improper-conduct-by-fa

Vardy was dismissed in the 56th minute of the 2-2 draw against West Ham after referee Jon Moss adjudged the striker to have dived under a challenge in the box from Angelo Ogbonna.

The England international reacted furiously, pointing and shouting in the face of the official before eventually leaving the pitch.

From the red card, Vardy is currently due to serve a one-match ban, which rules him out of Sunday's home game against Swansea City. But the FA's charge means he could miss the trip to Manchester United on May 1 as well.

The FA also charged Leicester for failing to control their players following the awarding of an 83rd-minute penalty to West Ham.

So today's match is huge--if Spurs grab 3 points then it's a 5 point bulge and Leicester hosts Swansea without Vardy while Spurs get West Brom at WHL next week.

Dele Alli with a perfect pass with the back heel to Erikson, who is not a finisher. He is 1vs.1 versus the keeper and hits it high, almost shoots it at the head of the keeper and hits the crossbar. What a blind guy. My dad would have asked the keeper to pick a corner to finish it.

2-0 Dele Alli. Perfect pass from Eriksen, Tottenham on the counter while Stoke was gaining some momentum. 20mins to play.
Edit: Alli in front of an empty net, after dribbling past Shay Given. Hits the post and Pocchetino eats grass on the sideline, lol.

That 3rd goal was a Lamela/Kane versus the keeper. Ha.

Five points back, and Vardy out 1, maybe 2 games.

Geez, and now 4-0 as Erikson with a looping short cross to Alli for his second.

Well, Spurs proved they can do it on a cold night in Stoke ...

This has been a thoroughly dominant performance. It's 4-0 and it could easily be 6 or 7.

That's 7-0 over ManU and Stoke in the last 100 or so minutes.

I don´t think Leicester bets on Tottenham´s failure to get 12 points.
The two home matches have to be won, Vardy or no Vardy. Play Okazaki, he is also able to score goals and work for the defense.
It´s possible to get an away win or to just draw both away. With their defense, they are able to hold. Last 25 league matches for Leicester: 14 shutouts, 8 at home (in 13 matches), 6 away (in 12 matches).

Yes, they didn´t have a single clean sheet in the first nine matches.
And after their last 2-2 at home (WBA), they went 5-0-0 with 6:0 goals for 15 out of 15 points. One averageish game because some weird officiating won´t kill them.
The best thing is, it´s Leicester or Tottenham and really, nobody else (although it´s mathematically possible :) ).

Don't know where else to put this but NBC's coverage really is amazing. I'm thoroughly enjoying their post show interviews of players on both squads.

I don't normally pay attention to the post match interviews...but I was surprised at how candid Geoff Cameron was. He basically said that Stoke were ass raped in every facet of the game, I think he said "rag dolled'. But what struck me was that he said that their full backs would go forward with the ball and there was zero movement up front. I get the impression he was throwing other players under the bus by suggesting they were "lazy"...I think he said 'hiding" . But, he did take responsibility for the defence shipping 4 goals. It was refreshing honesty...I'm just not sure it was wise comments. I was just surprised by his honesty. My memory may be a bit hazy since I watched the game with a couple of Spurs fans in a local bar ...and beer was flowing.

My fondness for Vurnon Anita really knows no bounds. Great freaking goal after a terrible non-offsides on Aguero's goal.

He's not going to wow you but he rarely makes mistakes.

Apparently he's fucking Messi with all the space he created with that simple move.

City have about 3 players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet on the pitch today and it shows.

I don't watch much City, but Kompany looks awful. I've never seen him this bad

edit- if it weren't for Zabaleta, Toon would be up 3-1
He's played remarkably little football this season. This 90 is about getting him thrown into match fitness. He has been awful but City have to try to get him fit for Madrid I think.

Mahrez is pfa player of the year. Well deserved.

Title race is not over by any means but I'd think Leicester is 80 percent or so to win the title.

Seems about right. 21 points still to play for between the two teams, and Leicester need 5 of those 21 to go its way. About 3 chances out of 4. If (after?) Spurs win today, there are 18 points left, and Leicester still need either 5 points gained or 5 points dropped by Spurs or a combination.

I think either Spurs or Leicester winning the league would be a great story, but I think at this point, I'm hoping that Spurs either drop points today or next week, or Leicester beats United, so that Leicester will have a chance to win the title at home against Everton. That would be amazing to watch.

Stat alert: Spurs have the youngest team in the EPL and West Brom have the oldest.

I can see Man U beating Leicester. For me, Chelsea v Spurs is the key game, if Spurs drop points a win for Leicester at home v Everton and it's over. But if Spurs beat Chelsea...then it'll be really interesting.

I'm pretty sure some members of SoSH could hit better crosses than what Eriksen has delivered thus far. The entire Spurs side has had great control, great flow through 3/4s of the field, and Eriksen has - what's the local term? - bolloxed it up.

edit: that is EXACTLY what I imagined the first goal of this game would look like, qualitatively anyway. FUBAR by both sides. Descriptions won't do it justice, you all need to watch the inevitable Vine or animated GIF.

Thanks for the Eriksen reverse jinx -- that was a great free kick.

West Brom have lost their last three and haven't scored in their last two...dunno if that means they're due at least a goal, or that for them the war is over.

All the internet chatter is that it was a ridiculous free kick by Eriksen.
