Can you challenge penalties? I thought they got rid of that. Why no challenge?
It was allowed for 1 season in 2019.What can they challenge now? I thought after that Saints debacle you could?
Come on. If it was, they wouldn't have given the touchback, they would've said not enough to overturn. The fix is in.
For a year then they reversed itWhat can they challenge now? I thought after that Saints debacle you could?
They’d be dumb not to ride the Swift train as long as possible.Weird the nfl wants KC to again win and leave out Buffalo.
I wasn’t really serious.Come on. If it was, they wouldn't have given the touchback, they would've said not enough to overturn.
Would lose a timeout. Can I throw the challenge flag just to force the ref to stare at their incompetence for three minutes?
That debacle got Riveron demoted to the ACCFor a year then they reversed it

Well ain’t I dumb. For a year then they reversed it
Except it seemed like it might have been called in from upstairs considering how late it was?Guys... you can barely tell if there is contact happening when it leaves his hand in super-slow motion, zero chance any ref has an angle to see both the hand and the contact and is able to tell perfectly.
That call is fine in real time, if they aren't going to make it reviewable that's the call you get.
I’d argue that if it’s that difficult to tell in real time then you don’t call it.Guys... you can barely tell if there is contact happening when it leaves his hand in super-slow motion, zero chance any ref has an angle to see both the hand and the contact and is able to tell perfectly.

The defender played it exactly like he knew the rule. Knew he was within 5 and knew Kermie had it. Lined up the dude and chipped him.I’ll be the minority and say I don’t have a problem with the call. Mahomes was already in motion to throw. The contact prevented a completion.
That said, the rule is not written that way, so it was incorrect by rule.
It’s infuriating because if the official isn’t sure what he saw, he’s supposed to keep the flag in his pocket. The flag was obscenely late, and a conference was called. They obviously weren’t sure. But they called the penalty anyway.I’ll be the minority and say I don’t have a problem with the call. Mahomes was already in motion to throw. The contact prevented a completion.

meh. if you have the responsibility of watching the receivers, and you see a guy clear out the receiver to prevent him from catching the ball I think you throw the flag, and it's on the umpire to tell you if the ball wasn't out yet.I’d argue that if it’s that difficult to tell in real time then you don’t call it.
I think it would be unforgivable in a regular season game. This is unimaginable. It’s the playoffs. Crazier shit has happened. You make them play every last second. This is unforgivable.
