I'm in the "conflicted and confused" camp.
I hold nothing against him— zero, nada— for leaving, and I fully expected to root for him heading into the season. Then, I started watching the games and found myself... glad?... at times when he and the team struggled. But why?
To the best I can understand it, my feelings are aimed not at him but against the whole cheesy "super team" phenomenon. The way that they loaded up with Gronk, AB, etc... there's some gratification that I feel every time they struggle, that they're getting their comeuppance, that building a winning team isn't as easy as just signing a bunch of guys.
