Impressive considering I combined land thieves and dirt burglars into one nickname, thanks to beer.I speak Canderson.
He wants Texas A&M, LSU, OU, and OSU to lose, which (as he knows) is not possible.
I would like to retract this from the record. Thank you. This is my first time watching Oklahoma State this year. Impressed so far.
This was well timedThis is my first time watching Oklahoma State this year. Impressed so far.
Yessir! Good news for the Hogs, finish 3rd in the west now, hopefully enough for the Citrus baby.LSU won on a no call OPI and I can’t be happier.
That is really something. Crazy late hit.How wasn’t that flagged as a late hit?
They have a late hit called off earlier. Pretty egregious, that was.Wow eating flags for OSU
They were averaging 7 yards a carry and abandoned it entirely the 2nd half. OU dumb is a special kind of dumb. Riley going to cajun sucks though ugh.Too many unnecessary shots to the end zone. There was time for other plays.
Is that rumor still alive? They were averaging 7 yards a carry and abandoned it entirely the 2nd half. OU dumb is a special kind of dumb. Riley going to cajun sucks though ugh.
Legit sources are saying it is happening. LSU can moneybag players better than OU. OU cares about funding education, LSU exists solely for football. Is that rumor still alive?
Easy to fund things when you get land for freeLegit sources are saying it is happening. LSU can moneybag players better than OU. OU cares about funding education, LSU exists solely for football.
What, exactly, is “sweet sweet Bama money?” To the contrary, I’d expect viewership (which translates to $$$) to be higher without them. Two losses should knock out anyone this year, but that sweet sweet Bama money...
I’m pretty sure that Cincy is already locked in position. My guess is that Notre Dame is the team that would slide in if Alabama loses. How are you going to keep Cincy out unless they lose? That's the real question.
It's insane that ND could get in over a potential 1-loss conference champ (OKSt) but the committee isn't known for their rationality. ND with the softest schedule ever, but nothing new there. But I expect OKSt to lose to Baylor just to keep this crazy train going.I can’t believe I have to root for Alabama in order to keep ND from an(other) undeserved playoff slot, but here we are.
Just want to make a case for OkSt if they win next week they will have 5 top-25 wins (bama needs to beat UGA to do that) give up 17.6ppg, have proven they can score if they need to win with offense, have outscored opponents 202-56 (even after giving up 33 last night) since losing to Iowa State (which IMO was a bad spot and they should've at least had a shot at a tie in that one). But, I agree they need some things to go their way Sat. even with a win. It's insane that ND could get in over a potential 1-loss conference champ (OKSt) but the committee isn't known for their rationality. Edit: meh, I begrudgingly give ND credit for playing a decent schedule.
I'm all aboard the Cowboy train, they just need to take care of business next week and let the chips fall. Big 12 teams, especially OKSt, seem to falter when it matters most. Anything to keep ND out I'm all for.Just want to make a case for OkSt if they win next week they will have 5 top-25 wins (bama needs to beat UGA to do that) give up 17.6ppg, have proven they can score if they need to win with offense, have outscored opponents 202-56 (even after giving up 33 last night) since losing to Iowa State (which IMO was a bad spot and they should've at least had a shot at a tie in that one). The only candidates for the four-team playoff are (IMO):Assuming Bama loses SEC championship, I would go
Dawgs
Mich
Ok St
Cincy
In that order. I want ND because I’m a fan but I’m trying to be reasonable.
edit: if Mich or OkSt choke their champ game maybe ND scoots in, idk. I want Michigan to win for the crazy Coach.
I would bet a lot that in your scenario, if your four teams are correct then the order is off. I actually think Michigan ends up 1 with that sequence of events. 2 at worst. Georgia probably still makes it but maybe even drops to 4. They would likely avoid the SEC re-match in the semisThe only candidates for the four-team playoff are (IMO):
Georgia
Alabama
Michigan
Oklahoma St
Cincinnati
Notre Dame
Key games next week:
8 Baylor v 7 Oklahoma St
24 Houston vs 4 Cincinnati
1 Georgia vs 3 Alabama
5 Michigan vs 16 Iowa
Ok St, Michigan, and Cincy all need to win in order to get in. Any of them lose, and they're out. That is, unless they ALL lose. In that case, the final four will be Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame, and the highest ranked of Ok St, Michigan, Cincy, Ohio St, or Baylor. I don't see a world where Baylor gets in even in this scenario though. Because they won't get in as a two-loss team over two-loss Ohio State.
Georgia is in no matter what, win or lose tomorrow.
Alabama is in with a win, obviously, but they can still be in with a loss if Ok St, Michigan, and Cincy all lose.
What I think happens:
Ok St beats Baylor in a close game.
Cincy beats Houston.
Alabama upsets Georgia.
Michigan beats Iowa.
So I think the final four will be (1) Alabama, (2) Georgia, (3) Michigan, and (4) Cincy.
