I think this is Trollichick under the new rules of limited participation, but we'll see.

Felger just reported on his show that multipe sources are claiming that there could be speculation that Brady's ankle bone is torn.

Zero to worry about until or unless the team makes a move to add a QB to the roster or practice squad.

I love that... there COULD be speculation that his ankle bone is torn (which isn't even possible per DRS). Amazing.

Ha. Multiple sources confirming that there could be speculation. Nice one.

Are there any words that have lost their meaning as much as 'confirm' has? Literally.

I see what you did there.

Is the recovery time shorter or longer than a fractured hamstring? Thanks in advance.

Limited in practice doesn't sound as dire, but I'm still freaking out.  This article implies the injury happened before practice today, while the above said he was injured in practice today.  The Stork concussion is also a major concern.

This is great:

Earlier this season, Brady was dealing with a calf injury that held him out of practice on Sept. 5. He took the day off to rest his calf before starting for the Patriots in the season opener against Miami.

Brady's addition to the injury report [with an ankle injury] could mean that he tweaked the injury at practice on Friday.

I suppose it's possible they are related, but pointing out the difference might have been appropriate.

Oh shit, DRS is going all Football Central on us?

Since Day 1. He even has his own menu: Football Medicine.

He's also very handsome. And his photos of attractive ladies lounging poolside are to die for.

Those will cost you more than $10.

When you are old, you break down.

The problem is this cuts against Felger's narrative that Brady will be dealt for multiple draft picks.

No have cake and eat it too --- even in Felger village.

While all of this is true, let's hope Brady does not gave a high ankle sprain. Pretty unlikely during a lighter practice, thankfully

And a worried fanbase exhales.

Thanks Dr. Awesome. I really just wanted an excuse to post the link to that excellent article and let you educate some more readers.

Now, get back to the poolside bar or the craps table.

Quarterback Tom Brady is traveling to Buffalo today with the Patriots despite suffering an ankle injury during yesterday's practice, according to a source.
Even better, he doesn't need a walking boot, indicating the injury isn't all that serious. Brady is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against the Bills after the ankle popped up on the injury report for the first time yesterday afternoon.
It's only the fifth time Brady has been listed as questionable on an injury report, so that piqued the interest over the mystery ailment. He is 3-1 in the previous four games, including a perfect passer rating against the Lions on Thanksgiving in 2010. The lone loss happened in Week 1 against the Dolphins, though his balky calf was hardly the reason for that defeat.

From the Dept. of the Obvious, if the OL returns to its turnstile ways with Stork out of action, the idea of an immovable Brady back there is scary.

Uhhh

The New England Patriots have been hit hard by injuries of late, but this could be their biggest blow yet. According to CSN New England , Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a "significant" ankle injury at some point during the 37-22 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Two sources told CSNNE.com's Tom Curran that Brady had to be heavily treated just to play Sunday against the Bills, having had his ankle rolled up upon during Friday's practice. He was listed as questionable following that practice prior to the Week 6 game. Brady appears to have aggravated the same ankle in the game, although his gaudy stats — 27-of-37 passing for 361 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions — didn't reflect any pain he might have been playing through. The Patriots have a short week to get Brady healthy. They host the New York Jets on Thursday night, and if Brady can't go, it will be rookie backup Jimmy Garoppolo who gets the start in his place. Garoppolo saw his first extended NFL action in the Patriots' Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, completing 6-of-7 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown pass in mop-up duty. - - - -
