Bartkowski Signs for 1 year, $1.25 million

So the B's have basically the savard overage to fill 2 wing spots. That's not a great cap position to be in. Is this a prequel to a move for Boychuck or McQuaid?
Eh, the wing spots can be filled from within. Eriksson to the top 6, then 2 guys up from Providence to the bottom 6. Lindblad, Caron, Florek, Ferlin, or perhaps Pasternak but that seems like an extreme long shot and potentially is a cap issue if they even did try and sign him this year. The more pressing issue is getting Torey Krug and Reilly Smith signed. Combined, I'd say we're looking at between $4-5 million for them.
Something has to give on D. They've got 7 NHL D signed right now- Chara, Boychuk, Hamilton Seidenberg, Miller, Bartkowski, McQuaid. Krug makes it 8, so something has to give. They aren't carrying all those players around. The cap dump will come somewhere in there.

totally forgot about the RFA needs for Krug/Smith. There's got to be a move of at least one DMan to clear salary. Good point.
