It didn't have to happen in game.Didn't Time Lord play well, with his customary athleticism, in his most recent game? I don't remember him going down with an injury.
Agreed, but they haven't been practicing much. This may just speak to Williams' overall fragility. It didn't have to happen in game.
Wasn't TL gimpy at some point in a recent game?Didn't Time Lord play well, with his customary athleticism, in his most recent game? I don't remember him going down with an injury.
Strip club?It didn't have to happen in game.
MLB has the same 85% rule.Interesting. I hadn't heard about the 85% threshold. I don't know what the benefits for the team are from hitting that threshold, but you'd think there could be a lot of peer pressure if the benefits are significant.
I blame Kyrie. Somehow someway this has to be on him.MLB has the same 85% rule.
The benefits are a less restrictive clubhouse and environment in particular. That would likely be something the guys on the team are looking forward to.
Staff holdouts? I know this is just hubris from typing on a computer but a person on my staff who wouldn't get the vaccine would not be on my staff for long if I could help it (excepting some super unusual personal circumstance that I can't think of right now).
No, unless an individual's refusal to is based upon a disability or religious belief. Choosing to be unvaccinated does not put you in a protected class. Though it wouldn't shock me if a few deeply red states make it so (notwithstanding their general hostility to outlawing discrimination.)Wouldnt that be Illegal?
Which anyone can claim to not be forced to take the shot if they didn’t choose to take one. I don't know. Is there an attorney anywhere around here who might be able to fill me in?Wouldnt that be Illegal?
Religious grounds don't really work that way. Courts are pretty broad, but they do have to have some basis, you can't just decide you have a religious objection at the time of the request, you'd probably have to show that you belonged to a group and that the objection was part of the teachings. So if say you were a Christian Scientist it's easy it's a key tenant. If you belong to a church that has a position, pretty straightforward. If you're a Catholic.... much harder path.Which anyone can claim to not be forced to take the shot if they didn’t choose to take one. So it would effectively be illegal.
If I remember correctly there was something structurally wrong with the left knee to begin with, which is why he plummeted on draft night. Put another way, his future is probably a guy that's going to be really useful 50-60 games per year.Didn't Time Lord play well, with his customary athleticism, in his most recent game? I don't remember him going down with an injury.
In addition you also have the players unions surely supporting their players rights. The organizations don’t want to go down this road. It's legal to require immunization (all hospitals, medical practices, nursing homes etc. require Hep B and MMR for example) but you have to make allowances for those with a disability or religious objection and it may not be legal to ask if you are immunized or not. You have to demonstrate that the question is important to the employees health, the other employees health and the nature of the business. It would be hard to fit a basketball team into the this is important to the health of our customers box.). Then you run into the fact that the vaccine is under an emergency use ticket instead of full FDA approval. Then you run into the fact that it is difficult to get employees in some fields (like nursing homes) and the last thing you want to do is lose a bunch of employees all at once.
So most places are using incentives to try to get their employees to comply right now, even the military. I expect that when the FDA does the full approval the hammer will come down and the school, military and medical fields will all start requiring the vaccine.
Your memory is incorrect. TL has Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome, which is a vascular condition. He has it in both legs. It's not a huge deal if treated, which I assume the Cs are doing. If I remember correctly there was something structurally wrong with the left knee to begin with, which is why he plummeted on draft night. Put another way, his future is probably a guy that's going to be really useful 50-60 games per year.
Yeah, it would be a pain in the nuts and bad PR, and likely would violate their CBA. But illegal has nothing to do with it.In addition you also have the players unions surely supporting their players rights. The organizations don’t want to go down this road.
Yes, and Charlotte is missing Hayward, Monk and Ball. C's need to take care of business against the Hornets today in Charlotte and Wednesday nite in Boston. That's good news. Not Williams being out, but everyone else being good to go.
Celtics drying your mouth all up with this start to the Hornets game.If Williams comes back next game (and they're making it sound like he will), we might have our first fully healthy roster of the season. I'm salivating!
I have endless rationalizations... start time, Fournier COVID recovery, Tatum-exhaustion syndrome, they're not playing hard yet...Celtics drying your mouth all up with this start to the Hornets game.
Ha, just 2 weeks ago you were saying I overreacted by saying the Wolves win was an awful effortAnalysis: Stick a fork in this team. Nice little run in most of April, finally get their guys back (except Rob), and... lay down for Charlotte.
Season prediction: Play-in game loss, by a margin of >10 points.
They're 3 games ahead of IND; Ii doubt they hit the 9th seed so they'll need 2 losses to be bounced, don't they?Analysis: Stick a fork in this team. Nice little run in most of April, finally get their guys back (except Rob), and... lay down for Charlotte.

I still think they will reach (at least) the 5th seed and win in the 1st round before going out in 6 games in the 2nd.They're 3 games ahead of IND; Ii doubt they hit the 9th seed so they'll need 2 losses to be bounced, don't they?
Correct, i didn't realize they gave an edge to 7/8.They're 3 games ahead of IND; Ii doubt they hit the 9th seed so they'll need 2 losses to be bounced, don't they?
For being a great player Tatum still doesn't really understand the importance of pace on offense, the effect of the 24-second clock, and giving a defense 3-4 extra seconds to set their defense in the halfcourt.
Does that mean Rob is in? There are only 11 games left, so the chance of everyone being healthy and the Celtics getting meaningful full-strength reps is seemingly low. Hopefully everyone is available for at least the last 5 or so games. It's going to be a first round exit regardless if they don't overtake the Hawks for the fifth seed, but maybe they'd be able to make it somewhat interesting if fully healthy.
Glad to see Tatum getting a night off, he's been a mess the last 3 games.
Time Lord is listed as questionable on the injury report, so he could be a game-day scratch.Does that mean Rob is in? Absolutely.Down 3, 30.8 seconds left, and they intentionally foul once OKC gets it over the halfcourt (28 seconds left at that point). Wouldn't the smart play be to try to get a stop and keep it a one possession game instead of conceding the free throws and making it a five point game?
I just saw this. Somehow losing to the Thunder wasn’t the worse Celtics news of the day
