According to GameDay, BVB appears to be throwing his sinker 89, his 4-seamer 88. His changeup 84 & his slider 84.

All of that seems problematic.

& a 77 mph curveball. No runs in the 1st 2 innings, though. One on, one out in the 3rd.

Since Rosier was called back up to Worcester (he played 3 games as an emergency fill-in a couple months ago), he has played in 7 games & got a hit in all 7 of them.

During that time period he is 9-21 with 3 doubles, 2 walks & 5 strikeouts.

.429/.478/.571, 1.049 OPS.

Cranked it up to almost 91 for an inning ending strikeout.
4th inning for BVB...

Strikeout
Walk
Walk
RBI single
Strikeout
Walk (bases loaded 2 out)

Mosqueda came in & allowed all 3 of BVB's runners to score & one of his own on a walk & a triple.

I wouldn't say BVB deserved much better... but it still sucks to have the new guy let 3 inherited runners score with 2 outs.

Mosqueda has made a 1-0 game an 8-0 game real quick.

Followed by a single after a bit of a battle. Then a strikeout & a flyout, & another walk.
Logan Gillaspie in with the bases loaded & 2 outs.

Mata pitched 0.2 innings with a hit, 2 walks, a strikeout & somewhere between 0 & 3 runs. 26 pitches 13 strikes.

Well, at least the velocity was there.

He's going to be interesting next year. I would love for him to be able to be a power bullpen arm for the big club.

Yeah, I'm glad he's back, even if he's not sharp. Means hopefully he can have a productive off season.

& he's out of options so hopefully he can figure it out.

I smell an offseason project for @JM3 ! :)
That would be suuuuuuper far down my list of unnecessary offseason projects.

If I do unnecessary offseason projects, they'll probably relate to improving my spreadsheet. Some ideas include:

1) Notes on the player. I won't go so far as to say scouting report.

2) More information on the players. I started handedness & height columns which I'll finish at some point. Maybe I could add their social media or some other info. Open to suggestions.

3) The big project I've been kicking around is adding stats to the page. Might need someone else's expertise for that because doing that manually sounds miserable.

4) & the final boss would be a 2nd set of rankings based entirely on spreadsheet info, with the only input from me being maybe some kind of CAP FACTOR.

(Off the record, your current ranking lists are incredible the way they are. Don't tell anyone I said this. And I blow this is a "public forum", but we both know there are just you and me reading this)

:love::cool:
Good enough is the enemy of perfect.

I want to have both the best rankings of the Red Sox farm system & the 2nd best lol
