The MiLB page now says Mullins is starting for Salem, which makes sense since he was supposed to start yesterday. Neither him nor Early are stretched out, so I would expect both to go & then probably Jedixson Paez since it's his normal day.

Paez has had a pretty linear progression.

In '21 he played in the DSL & pitched 50.1 innings (2.86 ERA).

In '22 he played in the FCL & pitched 57 innings (3.63 ERA).

This year he played in A-Ball & so far has pitched 84.1 innings (3.31 ERA).

He turns 20 in January & one would assume will start the season in A+.

Noah Song has pitched 32 innings so far this season in 4 places. He last pitched in 2019 - 17 innings.

Hopefully he can regain some velocity & command this off season & build up to maybe going 80 innings next year? I assume he'll start the year in Greenville, but if his stuff takes a jump, would move to Portland pretty quickly.

Pretty sure Hunter Dobbins will pitch the 2nd game for Worcester today. He last started last Sunday.

Dobbins pitched 69 innings in A-Ball last year (5.22 ERA) & has pitched 102.2 innings across A+ (2.63 ERA) & AA (4.52 ERA) so far this year.

Sorry, was at my younger kid's soccer game. They won 1-0 on a last second goal.

Will try to get updates on when I can, but it's going to be a busy day.

Tyler Miller was 1-4 with a steal (19).

Campbell, Gonzalez & Jimenez were 1-4 without a steal (although Jimenez tried).

Castro was 0-2 with 2 walks & a steal (4).

Paulino was 0-3 with a walk & a steal of home, I believe on a double steal with Miller. It's his 26th steal of the season.

The Salem game was canceled due to rain & they took away all the stats, but I believe Mullins had pitched 2 scoreless innings & I know Johanfran had that rbi double.

Anticlimactic way to end a season.

The 1st Portland game continued from yesterday is going well & almost over, so will just do all the hitting at once after.

I'm hanging out at the Aviators stadium (A's AAA).

Usually it won't let me post phone pictures but tried to reduce this to 20%. Not sure about the quality & not sure if it'll post, but YOLO.20230910_171912.jpg

No one knows lol
Gameday has it as a throwing error by the pitcher (following the fielding error by the pitcher). My best guess is that after botching the catch, the pitcher threw the ball out of play (into the stands or the dugout) before the umpire gave him permission to do so, which is a two-base error. (Something I learned in the FCL on a similarly baffling play.) The catcher's expression seems to say "I can't believe he did that."

Yeah, I mostly just meant it would be better if the video work on the feed was a fraction as good as the exceptional photo work :)

Hope you don't mind when I post your stuff in here.

If that IS what happened I'm not surprised that a) they didn't catch it on video and b) the announcers didn't seem to know what was happening--I've literally only seen that called that one previous time.

Always happy to have my work posted in here!

This is the GameDay writeup:

Single
Chase Meidroth singles on a ground ball to first baseman Jhailyn Ortiz. Nick Yorke scores. Chase Meidroth scores. Fielding error by pitcher Jordi Martinez. Throwing error by pitcher Jordi Martinez.
I haven't actually listened to the commentary because I've been at this game the whole time. But my best guess is that the pitcher ran & picked to the ball & threw it somewhere into left center trying to get Meidroth out at 2nd.
