TEEL (1st round) & NAZZAN (2nd round), as well as Stanley Tucker (19th round), have already started their FCL careers.

A couple days ago, it was announced that several more draftees would join them.

I really hope Teel sees some action somewhere else before the end of the season. I would assume a Catcher with his pedigree would begin next season at A+ if not AA.

It's quite possible. It just depends on if they think he's ready. It makes sense for his development to be playing every day right now, though.

Is there any data for how Dalbec has been doing against 95+? IIRC that was his biggest issue was that he was completely useless against heat, especially high heat. Curious if he has made any improvement there.

Not sure. Some of the other guys might know a way. I know how to go through every game & track it manually... but I will not be trying that lol

Nazzan is 1-2 with a strikeout.

Teel is 0-2.

Campbell walked his 1st time up & Tucker struck out.

They're currently losing 2-0 after 3.

Orioles are definitely testing Teel...3 steals, 1 caught stealing & 1 throwing error so far.

6-0 going into the bottom of the 4th.

Kristian Campbell doubled to lead off the 4th.

The 21 y/o SS (playing 2B) from Georgia Tech was drafted with the Xander comp pick after the 4th round, & so far in his professional career is 1-1 with a double, a walk & 2 steals.

Inmer Lobo is starting for DSL Gold against Red Sox Blue. Much to my chagrin, he was traded to the Pirates for Hoy Park after a DSL season in which he had an 0.82 ERA.

He has pitched 2 scoreless innings so far today to bring his ERA this season down to 1.54. Inmer is 19 & appears to have been injured earlier this season as he's only pitched like 11.2 innings this season.

8-1. Haven't played any of the new pitchers yet, & the old pitchers are struggling.

They pinch hit for Campbell so his day is done. It's fascinating that like every time someone plays their 1st game at a level they always get taken out before the end of the game.

Nazzan went 1-4 with 2 strikeouts.

Teal went 0-2 with a walk before he came out.

Tucker was 0-3 with 2 strikeouts & is batting .091.

On to game 2.

Red Sox Red game officially suspended in the 1st inning.

WUILLIAMS pitched a scoreless 1st. In the bottom of the 1st, they scored a run & had the bases loaded with 2 outs when the game was paused.

On the other hand, the Blue game was delayed for a while, but they have resumed things in the 3rd inning.

Enrique Carta started & pitched 2 scoreless innings with a walk & 2 strikeouts.

When they resumed, Yeferson Vargas took over & struck out the side in the 3rd, but allowed 2 hits, a walk & a run.

Down 1-0 after 3.

Deundre Jones (Red Sox 17th round pick last year) hit his 1st homer of the season, FCL Sox up 2-0 in the 5th.

Francis Hernandez pitched the 1st 4 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits & striking out 2. He lowered his ERA to 2.39 in 26.1 innings. He turns 22 in September.

Garrett Ramsey (16th round pick last year) is in for the 5th.

Ramsey allowed 2 runs in the 5th...

& then Deundre hit his 2nd straight homer in the 6th.

Prior to this game he had a .196 average in 51 ABs.

Rough day for Yute in the outfield...3 errors across the 2 games including on the final play of the game.

Sox lost 4-3. Disappointing lack of fun today.

Good days for Kristian Campbell, Deundre Jones, & rain.

Only 106 today. & everything is fine as long as you're properly air conditioned.

That reminds me, need to pick 2 more Aviators games to go to with my family before the end of the season.

He's ready. No point in putting him in Salem. Hopefully Brooks Brannon will be back catching for Salem soon.

I actually wouldn't mind if they just did Portland. Would make sense if they're ready to move Hickey off catching. Otherwise, would probably take too much time from his development.
