Here is a National League scout's report on JOHANFRAN:

“Strong, muscular, durable, with a highly agile body with quick feet, and a take-charge confident defender. A plus arm to all bases, and runs well for a catcher. Bat can be a Gary Sanchez-type power producer, with sound hitting actions, and the type of strength to to drive the ball to the big part of the field. Projects as a above-average skill-position player, supplying a 5-hole bat.”

Natty Yuten lead off triple followed by a Stanley Tucker RBI double.

Nazzan hit a line drive to second, but it turned into an unassisted double play.

DSL Red was up 5-4 in the bottom of the 2nd with the bases loaded & 1 out when their game got suspended for the day.

Red Sox Blue game was official after 5 innings before the weather came & they were declared the 5-1 winner.

YOELY was 2-3 with a triple & 2 RBI.

Jesus Garcia started & pitched 4 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits with 1 walk & 1 strikeout. He got credited with the win.

Ruben De La Cruz pitched a scoreless 5th allowing a hit & striking out 1 & was credited with a save.

Cristian Nunez started for the FCL Sox & pitched 4 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits & 2 walks with 3 strikeouts. He lowered his ERA from 8.10 to 6.23.

Darlyn De La Cruz came in for him & was not nearly successful, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned in 2 innings on 1 hit (a homer), 2 walks, 1 HBP, 1 WP, & 1 strikeout.

Cesar Ruiz is on for the 7th.

He & DDLC are both making their FCL debuts.

NAZZAN was 0-1 with 3 walks & 3 steals.

Nathanael Yuten was 3-5 with his 3rd homer & a triple (.351 avg., .918 OPS for the 18 y/o outfielder).

Armando Sierra hit a 2-run homer.

Cesar Ruiz allowed 1 run in 2 innings in his FCL debut.

Connor Butler pitched a scoreless 9th with 2 walks & 2 strikeouts for his 1st save.

No Coffey for the severalth day in a row. Also no Jhostynxon & no Johnfrank... who is hitting 2-29 since being promoted to Salem with 1 walk. He does have only 4 k's so maybe he just needs to run better on BABIP. An .069 batting average & .169 OPS is rough, though.

Greenville won game one 5-3.

Cepeda also got the 7th & final inning, which was a 1-2-3 inning with 3 groundouts & got the save.

7 of the 9 Greenville hitters were 1-3. The only exception was Eddinson Paulino (2-3 with a double) stole the hit that should have been for Allan Castro (0-3).

The team was 9-27 with no walks.

Salem lost game one 8-2.

Reidis Sena pitched 2 perfect innings with 3 strikeouts. Elvis & Nathanael Cruz? Not so much.

Lyonell James was 2-2 with a walk.

Mejicano was 1-3 with that 2-run homer.

Gilberto was 2-4.

Fabian, who turns 23 in September, is hitting .163 in 129 ABs since being promoted to AA.

We watched Encarnation. - he does not look good at all. Unconventional windup. Missed a shit ton on pitches he was trying for. I hope that I’m wrong but this is probably his last stop.
