Yordanny has closer energy, it’s great.

I’m also reminded of Adrian Beltre who if I’m remembering right would constantly appeal to the 1B umpire on his own checked swings.

Luis Cohen pitching. At least he's good.

Wonder if that means Campbell is moving up. Also wonder when/if Anderson will get into some games. Or any pitcher.

In LuCo's last 6 games he's pitched 24 innings, allowing 5 runs on 13 hits & 7 walks with 24 strikeouts. That's a 1.88 ERA & 0.83 WHIP for the 20-year-old righty.

Tucker & Nazzan both struck out in the 1st & I generally don't understand this whole lineup they're trotting out. But it's too early in the morning to be grumpy about FCL coaching lol.

Stanley Tucker hit his 1st professional homer. 2-0 FCL Sox.

They got their 1st run on an RBI single by rarely used catcher Emmanuel Martinez (playing 1B) after a double by occasionally used catcher Diego Viloria (playing catcher).

Another 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout for LUCO. He's faced the minimum through 3 innings as Viloria picked off the one guy who singled at 1st to end the 1st inning.

3 walks mixed in around a YOELY single, & Kleyver Salazar hit a 2-out 2-RBI single.

I didn't put it in the OP, but Red Sox play the Tigers today at 1:10 p.m. Brayan Bello is starting.

LUCO is apparently a 4 inning pitcher at this stage of his career.

He allowed a single & 2-run homer so far in the 5th.

& then walked his 1st hitter.

He pitched out of it with a pop-up to the catcher & strikeout to end the inning, though.

I'll assume he's done after 5 innings, 2 runs, 3 hits, 1 walk & 5 strikeouts. Raising his ERA from 3.30 to 3.34.

FCL Sox up 3-2 after 5.

Nicolas De La Cruz started this game yesterday & pitched a 1-2-3 1st with a strikeout.

Jose Ramirez started the day for them today & pitched 5 scoreless innings, 2 hits, 0 walks & 3 strikeouts.

Ramirez, 18 from Bayomo, Cuba, lowered his ERA to 1.80 in 25 innings with 28 strikeouts & a 0.92 WHIP. He was signed for $10k this June.

Aaron Liranzo came in for the 7th.

Juan Henriquez started for DSL Red & pitched 5 innings, allowing 1 run in the 5th. 2 hits, 1 walk & 5 strikeouts.

Henriquez just turned 17 in June. He got lit up last time out, but overall has had a solid season. 4.02 ERA, 43 strikeouts in 40.1 innings, 1.21 WHIP.

Turns out they were only playing a 7 inning game today. Who knew?

Connor Butler pitched a 1-2-3 inning for his 2nd save, preserving the 3-2 victory.

NAZZAN was 1-3 with a double & a steal (& 2 strikeouts).

Tuck was 1-4 with a homer.

Viloria was 1-2 with a double & a hbp.

Pierre was 1-3 with a steal.

Yosander & Yohander combine to put Red Sox Red on the board in the 6th.

Yosander (Asencio) doubled, got to 3rd on a pb, & scored on a Yohander (Linarez) sac fly.

Liranzo allowed 2 hits & 2 walks & didn't strike out anyone in 2 innings... but no runs & lowered his ERA to 9.45.

Converted IF Alisson Del Orbe in for the 9th.

DSL Blue wins 4-0.

YOELY was 2-4 with a hbp.

Frederick Jimenez was 2-5 with a double.

Geiser pitched 3 scoreless innings, allowing only a single & striking out 3.

Unfortunately Yoelvin Chirino was much less effective in the 9th, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 strikeouts.

Losing 3-1 headed to the bottom of the 9th.

YOELY isn't starting in game 2.

Ricardo Rodriguez (4.23 ERA) is the starting pitcher.
