Why are the Red Sox giving single-A innings to a 35 year old who was barely good enough to pitch in the majors when he was in his prime?

Whatever was ailing Manuel Margot, he's gotten over it.  Since returning from the DL, he is hitting .341.  Five games with multiple hits in his 10 games back.  Kid is starting to display some real special ability IMO with the pure hit tool.

And speaking of the hit tool, Sam Travis' line at Salem is now up to .316/.377/.462, with a solid 35/21 K/BB in 237 PAs.  Would hope he and Margot are in in AA by the ASB.

JBJ's OPS is now .907, with a .400 OBP. No matter what happened last season, he's gotta get the call after Mookie's faceplant, right?

I woudn't be so sure: only if Mookie has to be DL'ed. Probably Rusney goes to Center, and Holt to right for the time being, with de Aza backing up.

I bet they do, though I can hardly believe you're making my point with by comparing John Farrell to Jimi Williams.
