The cradle of the game.
Noteworthy the Celtics on court celebration consisted of a few casual hand slaps, low. Expressionless faces. No high 5s, no hugs.

Downright cold-blooded.

If Donovan Mitchell doesn’t go nuclear, the Cavs don’t have a prayer
And even if he does, they’ll still probably lose. He went nuclear in Game 6 in Orlando and they still couldn’t break 100. Supporting cast just not good enough and they have no prayer of stopping the Celtics.

Lets not assume this is ironclad. Play the games as if the Cavs have real NBA talent (they do, even if it doesn't show up regularly)

It's easy to cherry pick whatever stat you want to emphasize in a blowout, but I really do think the Cavs' inability to compete on the glass was a huge factor. It felt like half of the Celtics' rebounds were uncontested. Kornet must have had 5 flatfooted.

Mitchell 33 points on 25 shots, 3 TOs.
JB 32 points on only 18 shots, 1 TO

Boston had only 6 turnovers, three by PP, one each by the Jays.

Bald Derrick White is a playoff assassin

That was an ass kicking. I don’t think JB and DW could have played any better than they did tonight.

The NBA is so tough. Merrill is probably better than 99% of the high level players we've all collectively ever met yet he simply wasn't good enough to be on the floor in this game. And he was decent during the regular season too.

Think about that next time you wonder if you can play in the league.

This team amazes me without KP, and Tatum still struggling they blow out the cavs. White is amazing and JB was nearly perfect tonight. I’d really like to see Tatum get some confidence back in the rest of this series, as I have a feeling they will need a big game from him to close out the Cavs.

Knicks/Pacers series looks like a dogfight and if we advance good shooting Tatum will be all the more important.

I’d like to see less iso pound it ball with him and more movement, the iso game just feels counter productive and clunky with this many shooters.

Someday it's going to be revealed who Janos is.. or possibly preferably it will never be revealed.
You know I was going to reply saying the same, but online I get way into my head and use like 30% more words than I need then abandon my post. Thanks for being succinct where I could not haha

It might have been DW’s worst game out of his last three.
White is on a bit of a heater. In the past three games he has put up 29 ppg on 58% from the floor and 54% from three. :D

The East was so compressed. The Heat were only 2 games behind the Cavs. Seeding was fucked up. The Heat actually had a winning record without Bulter. I almost feel like they lose on purpose in the regular year.
Thee were actual pods and articles written in Feb that the Cavs posed the biggest threat to the Celts in the East. We shall see.

No one sane thinks this. That guy would melt each and everyone of us in a game of one v one. Like 21-1 if we're lucky. Just watch the Scale vids of the varsity kids calling him out.

Tatum had a mediocre game judging by the box score and they won by 25

Lol
He wasn't as good as he was against the Heat. Something seemed off with him and he also appeared frustrated which you could see in the closing minutes of the first half. And, yeah, they still won by 25.

Takeaways: The Celtics, missing KP, brought their B game and early on brought their C- defensive game. Missed good looks from three early. Made tougher, better contested threes later. The Cavs made open threes early on Celtics brain farts defensively. The Celtics tightened up but the Cavs still missed decent looks inside and outside in the second half. The Cavs have room to grow. But, what is looming is that the Celtics played generally a B game, not even an A- game.

Favorite Scene: PP three to end the third. 15 up feels better than 12 up for sure. Mitchell sits to start the fourth and by the time he checks back in the game is just about over.

Where in earth would cannolis sit around for days?
I felt like the shells sit there for days at a lot of Italian bakeries.. they’re just filled to order. I used to live in the North End.. and I feel like Mike’s used to do that.. if they don’t actually do that.. then that’s at least how they tasted to me.

I played against Jon Ameci sp? one time in a pickup game in college.. he played guard for fun and just shot threes all game.. until someone tried to defend him at which point he just took it down the lane and dunked.

Played against Noah while he was a high schooler..

The shear size of NBA players is ridiculous. Normal humans have no chance. I stopped growing at 6’-1 1/2”.. I needed four or five more inches and quickness to really even think about D1 let alone the NBA.

Says Mike.

Seriously tho: I like Mike’s but the line is always nuts and Modern is just as good if not better.
Bovas also is better than Mike's IMO AND it's open 24 hours.
People like me and my wife who live in Silicon Valley and like good Canollis would have to drive to San Francisco to get them (45 miles). And, San Francisco needs to be “cleaned up” to say the least before you want to go there for Cannolis. Yeah, life is tough. ;)

Enjoying this Celtics team, to say the least, and no letting up in games 2, 3 or 4!

Same here. It could have been 9 if Mitchell makes that three, too.
