Another outstanding game for Owens.  For the most part, he looks to be mastering AA when combined with his 6 games there last year: phenomenally low hits/IP, high SO/IP, low WHIP, and low ERA.  However, the command problems, notstanding the last few games, is still the elephant in the room and doesn't seem to be improving much.  So what should the organization do: keep him in AA for most or all of the year until the command improves, or promote him soon? He's only 21 so the former wouldn't be a bad idea

According to the box score Trey Ball threw 41 pitches in 2/3rds of an inning and was removed after 6 batters.

They have pitch counts per inning, especially in the low minors.  Ball only faced 6 hitters, allowing 2 singles and 1 BB.  Looking at his pitch count, 26 of the 41 pitches were strikes, so a couple of batters must have fouled off a slew of pitches.
