Presumably, PawSox fans are breathless wondering if today is the day Allen Craig makes his Pawtucket debut.

Did ticket sales jump up?

Is Grain Cecchini still a prospect? What a fall. Good to see the power from Marrero, hopefully he can continue to raise the batting average.

3 BB, 28 K for a guy whose main talent was his ability to get on base? I had no idea he's been that bad.

Wonder if he's done some sort of mental "check out" since the Sandoval signing ......seeing no path to Boston.  If so, he needs to get it together and prove himself capable to other major league teams. I'd like to see him playing great in June/July so he's tradeable.

Unlikely.  Everyone knows that Napoli's on a short deal that ends this year and Travis Shaw isn't moving to 1B, Sandoval is, which opens third for Cecchini.

Why would you move a plus defender to an easier position? If anyone moves to 1B it will be Hanley.

Regarding Cecchini .. his performance this year is just about as abysmal as one could imagine. For a guy who's main strength is plate discipline it's completely baffing to fall apart like that. He's either hurt or is in a pretty dreadful mental space. A phantom DL period might be the best thing for him at this point. Perhaps all the trade rumours have messed him up - thinking he was on his way to Philly and a clear path to the majors - now he's blocked.

Just speculation of course. Has their been any press coverage on his struggles so far?
