Oddly the Pawtucket game is on CBS Sports Network. Pawtucket on a national television network...odd.

I saw a tweet earlier today that CBSSN will be showing a minor league game every Thursday night for the rest of the season.

First time I've seen him pitch live... has his motion always been that herky jerky?

For some reason, my recollection of his available videos (YouTube, etc.) showed a much smoother, classic delivery to my eye.

Last night, by comparison, he seemed all elbows and knees, and trying to hump it up there... am I dreaming?

STORIES

PAWSOX

Game Story

Andrew Lambo's two-run home run in the sixth gave Indianapolis the lead, then a thick fog rolled into Pawtucket and forced the game to be called with one out in the seventh as the Indians earned a 3-2 victory over the PawSox Thursday night before 6,465 fans at McCoy Stadium in the opener of a four-game series.

After putting the game into a delay following Garin Cecchini's pop out leading off the seventh inning because of worsening fog, the umpires waited 48 minutes before deciding the game would not resume. Thus Indianapolis (18-8) earned a come-from-behind win after the Indians had trailed 2-0 through four innings.

Lambo's blast, a drive into the bleachers in right center, came against PawSox reliever Dalier Hinojosa (0-2) with one out in the sixth. It followed a hard-hit triple from the International League's leading hitter Gregory Polanco, a line shot that banged off the fence in right center.

Hinojosa's blown save spoiled a terrific outing from starter Matt Barnes, who allowed only one run and two hits in five innings of work while recording six strikeouts. Michael Martinez's sacrifice fly in the fifth provided the only run against Barnes, who did not allow a hit through four innings.

Pawtucket scored a pair of runs against Indianapolis starter Jeff Locke in the second and third innings, each coming with two outs. Alex Hassan's RBI single opened the scoring, while Ryan Lavarnway's RBI double against reliever Phil Irwin made the score 2-0.

Irwin (1-2) replaced Locke with none out in the second and worked the next four full innings, allowing only two hits and striking out five to earn the victory. Vin Mazzaro recorded one out before the fog delay and was credited with his second save.
SALEM

Game Story

The Sox parlayed four walks and a pair of clutch two-out singles into a three-run eighth inning that provided the eventual game-winning runs for a 6-4 comeback victory as Salem sent Lynchburg to its ninth consecutive loss at Calvin Falwell Field.

Lynchburg took a 2-0 lead after Daniel Carroll drove home single runs with sacrifice flies in the bottom of the first and third innings.

Salem came back in the top of the fourth as Jonathan Roof led off with a double and scored on a two-out RBI single by Aneury Tavarez to trim the lead to 2-1. Kevin Heller then doubled in two runs to give the Sox a 3-2 lead.

Lynchburg regained a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth as doubles by Kevin Ahrens, Will Skinner and Daniel Castro plated two runs.

The game-winning rally started against Hillcat reliever Matt Chaffee as Ryan Dent walked and made it to third on a stolen base and throwing error. After the next two batters failed to reach, Clay Schrader was brought in and walked Carson Blair, before surrendering an RBI single to Reed Gragnani and a two-run single to Tavarez to account for the final score.
DRIVE

Game Story

The Greenville Drive (14-10) used a five-run fifth inning on Thursday night to defeat the Greensboro Grasshoppers (14-12) 6-3. With the win, the Drive avoided being swept in the three-game series.

Trailing 2-1, the Drive exploded in the top of the fifth against Greensboro starter Max Garner (2-2). Jesus Loya hit a one-out single and came all the way around to score two batters later when Tzu-Wei Lin lined a double to center field. After a walk to Jantzen Witte, Jake Romanski untied the game by smacking a three-run homer to center, his first long ball of the year. Back-to-back doubles by Carlos Asuaje and Manuel Margot pushed the score to 6-2 and chased Garner from the game.

The Grasshoppers scored a run in the ninth on an RBI single by Austin Dean, and they later loaded the bases with two outs, but Myles Smith got Kentrell Dewitt to pop up to end the game. It was Smith's first save of the season.

Mario Alcantara (1-1) picked up the victory for Greenville, hurling five innings and giving up seven hits, two earned runs and three walks while striking out four.

Greensboro scored against Alcantara in the first on Felix Munoz's RBI single to right and again in the second on a solo homer by Avery Romero.

The Drive got on the board in the top of the second when Asuaje cranked his first home run of the year, a solo shot to left field. He went 2-4 on Thursday. Loya joined him in the multi-hit club with a 2-4 night, his first multi-hit game of the season.

Dean, Munoz, Romero and Justin Bohn all collected two hits apiece for Greensboro.
