The only thing about Perales returning is it adds a 7th starter in & both Rogers & Sandlin would be due to pitch tomorrow.

I'm guessing they pitch Sandlin tomorrow & then next week roll with:

Tuesday - Rogers
Wednesday - Early
Thursday - Mullins
Friday - Perales
Saturday - Sandlin
Sunday - JDE (bumped from Tuesday for that extra rest)

With Cooper Adams headed back to the bullpen, but stretched out after pitching 5 innings earlier this week.

Actually, it makes more sense if they pitch Rogers in relief today, then go Early/Mullins/Rogers/Perales/Sandlin/JDE next week.

Good to see Johanfran back. He got hit the 1st time up.

At the goats game tonight with my sons and 4 of one of their friends for his 10th birthday. 3 rows behind the Dogs dugout. Will try to add pictures/insight later!

Marcelo just beat out and infield single despite the pitcher knocking it down and attempting a sick backhanded pitcher to first. As I’m writing this Teel just glued out to deep left. Thought it was gone off the bat.

Chase Shugart went 3 innings in his emergency start, 2 runs, 1 earned.

Brendan Cellucci came in next, making his AAA debut. I realized the other day he's basically the Joe Jacques replacement since he got claimed by the DBacks.

Cellucci has allowed 1 run in 2 innings, 1 hit & 3 bb, 1 k. Guessing he'll be done after 35 pitches, but who knows?

Fraymi just pinch hit for Nazzan (& walked).

I'll assume they're just easing Nazzan back in. He was 1-2 with a homer & a walk.

Cellucci did get a 3rd inning, 0 runs, 1 hit, 1k.

Both Cellucci & Shugart threw 54 pitches & 32 strikes.

WooSox up 7-3 in the 7th.

Marcelo with a BRUTAL error on what looked like a routine play. He’s no Story. I don’t believe ruled as an error but should’ve been.

Was a little disappointed at Blaze's range on a double down the 3rd baseline, but he made a nice charging play on a slow grounder to prevent a run.

Cruz pitched a 30-pitch 6th, allowing a run.

Then Royman Blanco threw 31 pitches, but it got him through the rest of the game. 3 IP, 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 k.

Salem wins 4-2 & Blanco runs his record to 4-1 (all other Salem pitchers are 5-10).

I'm currently watching Celtics on TV, Sea Dogs on 1 laptop, working on my other laptop & posting on my phone...

Paulino looks sharp defensively. Nice hands & easy velo.

& Bastardo looks pretty dominant today through 6 scoreless innings.

Christopher Troye came in & walked the lead off hitter on 4 not very close pitches, & also walked the 2nd hitter. His mechanics are kind of a disaster right now.

And I just jinxed Troye because right as I told one of my sons friend that he’s a petty good pitcher and a solid dude he lets up a three run dinger ‍♂

& then he allowed a homer to Warming Bernabel on a poorly placed 2-0 fastball to the 3rd hitter.

Couldn't easily be less impressed...fell behind the next hitter 3-0. & should have walked him on a 3-1 pitch that wasn't particularly close, but got a gift...& then walked him anyway 2 pitches later.

& that's all for Troye today.

Sometimes I wonder how much of Troye's prospectness comes from his social media presence.

I think it's 10% that & 90% he has really good stuff when his mechanics are where they need to be.

He threw 20 pitches, 6 strikes (30%).

Unfortunately Rogers isn't pitching well in relief.

WooSox blew a 7-2 lead & lost 8-7.

Sal Romano made his Sox org debut & allowed a run on 3 hits in 1 inning.

Then they brought in Melvin Adón who got lit up...0.1 IP, 4 ER, 4 bb, 2 hits.

Cody Scroggins (who allowed 7 ER in 1 IP in his AAA debut) came in & struck out both hitters he faced, but it was too little too late.

1-2-3 8th for Brand... but really doesn't seem to have put away stuff for this level. Rooting for him, though.

Top 9 Roman lead off walk, Mayer legs out a double, barely.

But then Teel popped out. He's actually been struggling pretty hard... .208 BA, .663 OPS.

Blaze has not been struggling, but he struck out on an eye-high fastball, & Lugo popped out to end the inning.

Felix Cepeda lead off walk b9 with a 1-run lead.

Cepeda looks like he's gained a lot of weight since last I've seen him. Looks like fairly healthy weight, though.

He struck out the next hitter, but the runner stole 2nd.

Yanquiel Fernandez in to pinch hit.

Intentional walk to Fernandez & then Cepeda hung a slider & it got hit out for a 3-run homer & Portland loses 6-4.
