I think I heard Youk saying that play was on Casas. And this is whatever, but I'm pretty sure Casas started charging as soon as he saw the batter show bunt, which is what you see a 1B do a lot of the time in that situation. It's not like he knew the thing was about to be bunted directly back to Sale. Doesn't the 2B have to start moving to cover first as soon as he sees the batter showing bunt and the 1B charging? I might be wrong.

This is just giving me bleak bleak feelings.

The Sox are a long way with competing with a team like this talent wise. I feel bad for Mayer, Rafaaela, and Bleis. It's almost like our whole organization rides on these guys panning out which they rarely do.

Sale's stuff varying from meatballs to bat-losing-nastiness is very odd.

Which reminds me, why are we building with an eye on prospects who are in A ball with the third most valuable franchise in the sport again?

Put Sale in the pen and see if can give you something. I think he’s done as a starter.
This is ultimately the play, IMO. I realize 2 starts is not a sufficient time to make the decision [nor is 3] -- but I doubt anyone thinks Sale is likely to give a better performance than Kutter Crawford at this point, at least not demonstrably so.

Who is the top prospect in this year's draft?
This year actually has some good college ones at the top. LSU’s Paul Skenes, Tennessee’s Chase Dollander, Wake’s Rhett Lowder… but the Red Sox didn’t tank far enough last year for it to matter for this draft.

Owner is spending all his money in the EPL and NHL (the latter not well I may add)

Shit, you're right. I'll have to get excited about next year's draft.

So they're leaving him to try to get the coveted "winning" decision? Pitch count limit was supposed to be 60.

I was going to switch to something else after the inning, then they scored just enough so that I’m going to keep watching but I’m still pissed
