Have they even mentioned the plane crash?Did you know that Lashley was a mathematics major? Only mentioned about 5 times so far.
Speaking of crashes, Lashley on the 16th green. Just a brutal and epic collapse.Have they even mentioned the plane crash?
With authority. That’s one way to lose a tournament.
looks like Berger has this one wrapped up.
They called it that because the amateurs played. In a limited field tournament before the pros.By the way, I'm amused that the tournament is still called the "AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am" this year - couldn't they have called it the "AT&T Pebble Beach Invitational" for one year only?
There's actually a little bit more to it than just that. Beyond just tradition, it's the only event in which the title sponsor is not the only name on the event and that's contractual. Every other non-tour owned event is just The Waste Management, The John Deer, The Genesis, etc. Changing the name has contractual implications that probably just aren't worth the effort. Beyond that, it just creates more work to change scripted content, graphics, etc. that are produced well ahead of the event itself. They called it that because the amateurs played. This is a really interesting question. Didn't he and Brooks almost get into an actual fight after the last Ryder Cup? If one qualifies and the other doesn't, I'd leave the other out. If Reed doesn't qualify, he'd have to be head and shoulders better than whoever else was on my list for me to choose him.A great question asked and discussed by the No Laying Up guys on their latest podcast: if Patrick Reed doesn't automatically qualify for the Ryder Cup team - and remember, only the top 6 get in automatically this time - should Stricker make him a captain's pick?
All true, but Reed is really good in Ryder Cup competition. 7-4-1 overall and 3-0 in singles matches. Really his only blemishes have been an 0-2 mark when paired with Tiger Woods, of all people. This is a really interesting question. It was actually DJ and Brooks that reportedly almost got into a fight. Or were there multiple fights? This is a really interesting question. Yeah, that's what makes it a really interesting question. He's "Captain America" for a reason, but does he make everyone else worse? If he's costing the team overall by being generally not liked (I don't know if this is true) then leaving him off may be addition by subtraction. All true, but Reed is really good in Ryder Cup competition. 7-4-1 overall and 3-0 in singles matches. Nope, you're totally right. I remembered it as Reed and I was wrong. It was actually DJ and Brooks that reportedly almost got into a fight. Or were there multiple fights?
I thought a "Pro-Am" was by definition a tournament in which the Pros played with the Ams. (Also, what @jercra said.) Not a big deal, though. They called it that because the amateurs played. In a limited field tournament before the pros.
It is. There was a very small, not publicized at all, event where the Pros played with the Ams on Wednesday.I thought a "Pro-Am" was by definition a tournament in which the Pros played with the Ams. (Also, what @jercra said.) Not a big deal, though.
Ah...I thought @Average Reds was just referring to the six-player celebrity Am event, snippets of which I saw during one of the broadcasts. It is. There was a very small, not publicized at all, event where the Pros played with the Ams on Wednesday.
That was the only amateur/celebrity event to my knowledge which admittedly is wrong most of the time. Bill Murray, some other guy, and a female actress I never heard of.Ah...I thought @Average Reds was just referring to the six-player celebrity Am event, snippets of which I saw during one of the broadcasts.
Is it one of those long sleeve tshirts with a hood on it? Those are popular these days. Nike's is very popular and is one of the most comfortable things I own.DJ rocking a hoodie of sorts. Not a full on sweatshirt, but still not something you see every day on the PGA Tour. I think JT's also done it.
The Levelwear Thrive lightweight hoodie is my favorite piece of clothing. Basically a long sleeve t shirt with a hood, like you said.Is it one of those long sleeve tshirts with a hood on it? Those are popular these days. Nike's is very popular and is one of the most comfortable things I own.
Yeah I've worn my Nike lightweight hoodie on the course as well. It's not collared, but it's becoming more and more accepted these days. The Levelwear Thrive lightweight hoodie is my favorite piece of clothing. Basically a long sleeve t shirt with a hood, like you said.
I am very much pro-hoodie on the course. Glad to see them becoming acceptable.
For me it's no different than wearing a crew neck sweatshirt/sweater, which also doesn't have a collar and is acceptable.Yeah I've worn my Nike lightweight hoodie on the course as well. It's not collared, but it's becoming more and more accepted these days.
Definitely. Someday, a Cali trip of Torrey Pines, Rivieria, and Pebble would be a great trip. For me it's no different than wearing a crew neck sweatshirt/sweater, which also doesn't have a collar and is acceptable.
God Riv is an unbelievable course. Very high on my bucket list to play.
You know Riviera is private, yes? (Torrey and Pebble are playable to anyone with the money; Riviera, definitely not.)Definitely. Someday, a Cali trip of Torrey Pines, Rivieria, and Pebble would be a great trip.

The 10th hole is killer. I have spectated there many times and I like to stand behind the tee box at 10 and watch these guys aim for the green. It is very humbling.I'm watching the Featured Groups coverage right now, and I'm trying to decide if I'd rather play all 18 holes at Riviera or just play the 10th hole 18 times in a row.
When I went to the Friday of the Open Championship at St. Andrews in 2000, I spent about four hours just sitting behind the Road Hole, watching the pros try to deal with that unique green and the obstacles around it. If I were to ever go to the event at Riviera, I'd absolutely just go to the 10th green and watch everyone flounder - and a few people spectacularly succeed. The 10th hole is killer. I hate Nick Faldo The Announcer so much. He's absolute garbage out there.Faldo loves calling Bryson "DeChambnles" after a bad hole. He does it every single time.
Overly serious Faldo trying to be super analyst with verbal diarrhea patting himself on the back was brutal.I hate Nick Faldo The Announcer so much. He's absolute garbage out there.
