I'd be happy to see KC come into Foxboro next week without being angry over having lost to the Jags

He’s been overrated since the day he made that one handed catch. Guy isn’t remotely close to brown or jones
I don't know if that's fair. Eli ain't Big Ben or Matt Ryan (and he doesn't have guys like Schuster, Bell, Ridley, Freeman, etc. protecting him against double and triple teams). If OBJ was playing on the Steelers instead of AB, he'd be putting up monster numbers.

The camera is following OBJ around like he's a Kardashian. Anyway, he did just throw a 60 yard TD pass. So if Eli can't pass, OBJ's like, "I'll do it. It's not that hard."

The giants needs a complete tear down
Bottom line, they need to move on from Eli. He's just not good anymore. The Barkley pick may or may not turn out to be a mistake. If they end up with a top 5 pick this year, and find their next QB, they could have a great backfield pairing for a long time, but if they swing and miss (or keep taking guys like Davis Webb and Kyle Lauletta later in the draft, hoping to catch Tom Brady in a bottle), they'll be bad for a very, very long time.

If Justin Herbert is everyone's binky right now, though, which other currently bad teams would be in competition with the NYG for a quarterback? The No. 1's from this past draft aren't getting replaced immediately. I could see if Denver completely nose dives, that being a spot. It could be that if the Giants have a top 5 pick, they could wind up with the best prospect, as you point out.

I’ll always question the Barkley pick. That said, he’s extremely fucking good, and that with a pretty terrible OL in front of him. But yeah, I don’t think it was the right pick at all for them under the circumstances.

See, I'm not there yet. Barkley is pretty damn awesome. And the jury is not out yet on the 4 guys taking in the top 10 this year. Would the Giants have been better off not taking Barkley, and taking Rosen or Allen or Darnold, only to have them suck for the next 2-3 years? I think the Barkley pick is defensible, but ONLY if they are able to find their guy next year.

That minor offseason injury that caused Bortles’s $19 million deal for this season to become guaranteed is looking fateful for the Jags. It knocked them out of the running for Cousins and Smith, and they ended up re-upping Bortles to spread out the cap hit. He isn’t likely to become more than he is (he’s in his 5th season), and that’s going to cap out a team that should be a contender as a 10-11 win team.

Barkley at #2 was a luxury item for a team with as many holes (like no O-line) and likely developing holes (Opie) in the future. If new management was intent on avoiding another QB controversy, they should have traded/traded down for multiple picks.

I thought KC had no defense?
They don't. Jacksonville is both out thinking themselves and down to their 3rd and 4th string RB's.

This scoreline is not reflective of how competitive the game is. KC is not winning the game as much as Jacksonville is shitting all over themselves.
Note, this is not me saying KC does not deserve to be winning.

On review that Bortles pick was even worse than it looked, he hit his own lineman in the back of the head. Just an awful throw.

Edit:Added tweet with gif showing how awful the throw was

I’m seeing all this Bortles commentary, are you guys aware of what Lombardi calls him? The Equalizer because the Jags are otherwise better than the opponent but Blake evens it up.

Why would Detroit ever run Riddick when they have Carryon, who actually looks like a stud?
Riddick is the third down guy. He's great receiver, while Kerryon is not. If they call a run on third down, it's going to be Riddick, because if they leave Johnson in on third down, the defense will know it's going to him.

If he's running Riddick on any other down, then it's idiotic. And of course, there's Blount....

I believe the play I'm referring to was 2nd down. But, frankly, Riddick should never touch the ball.
