Crying game was the year before at SD, I believe.

‘07 saw him sitting on the bench in Indy as Michael Turner destroyed the Colts.
No, that was also the crying year, as Rivers played on a blown tire and LT sat on the bench with his helmet on.

He also cried post 2006 game.

I want to dislike Rivers, but I can’t. Man, he’s a fun interviewee. Sounds like an excited kid.

LA is actually a balanced team though.
NE allows 22.5 per game and is +71, LAC 21.3 and +98. There's more balance on LA's side, but it's not as lopsided as one would think.

All that said, they are scary, but I would rather play in LA than KC.

When Rivers was going ballistic in the huddle and screaming at his teammates I told my Dad that he better be giving them some brilliant instructions...and then they ran the perfect play to win the game.

Much respect to Rivers and SD; they were down 14 points on three different occasions. The defense had a massive stop on the Chiefs final possession when a first down or two would have sealed it for KC; and then Lynn had the balls to go for two.

In the playoffs, with Reid and a rookie QB, I’d prefer KC. Our road defense gives up 30 to anyone decent, so the question is which D Brady can score on.

I go back to when he played us tough at Fox during the perfect season on a ripped up knee on a cold day. Much respect.
I remember him at Green Bay. 2016 I think. He lost, but he was incredible. He was getting killed every series and just missed pulling it out. I have always enjoyed watching him.
Tough hombre. If it ain’t the Pats, I would love to see him do it.

Chargers have been on a Patriots-esque run of lulling opponents to sleep. The script looked terrible for them tonight and @ Pittsburgh and both teams just completely shit the bed at home. I'm sure Andy would like that 4th and 3 punt back, if he remembers it.

Maybe. We gotta get right this weekend. If we win that one, and then beat BUF and NYJ to close it out, I think we'll feel pretty good about either matchup.

That's the first time he's ever missed pulling it out.

See, I'd rather play the San Diego defense than the KC defense. The one thing, and only thing KC can do is get pressure on a QB. The one and only kryptonite for Mr. Tom Brady, is when teams get pressure on him. San Diego doesn't get to the QB like KC does and if Brady has time, he'll pick apart anyone.

The Chargers have a pretty nasty pressure duo in Ingram and Bosa, and while they don't have a Chris Jones in the middle, they'll move those guys around some to get good matchups. And don't dismiss the importance of coverage; getting Brady to hold the ball for an extra split second might be the difference between a quick completion and pressure getting home. LAC matches up better in coverage.

KC's pass rush is also helped by them going up big so much in games; they can just pin their ears back and rush. You keep it close, you can run on them.

I like Rivers. I always have. Of Big Ben, Eli, and him I think he has consistently been the best of the three and yet Eli has the two rings. Always bothered me because I’d take Rivers any day over Eli. Part of this might be I’ve had Rivers in my fantasy teams almost 12 years in a row now... just felt like he was always underrated. I have no animosity towards KC and the Chargers. If we don’t win this year I’d like to see either Andy Reid or Rivers get a ring. I would cheer for that too.
Edit: grammar. Also, only after the Pats are out. Until then it’s whatever rhymes with six - get six.

Derwin James would be a real thorn in our sides along with the other guys you mentioned.

I may be completely nuts but I feel like the Jets may give the Texans a game today
It’s the NFL, the Jets are at home, and they’re not completely hopeless, so perhaps.

I say Houston wins by a couple of scores, but their shitty pass protection puts them at risk of a flurry of turnovers or a Watson injury.

one more Texans loss and the 2 seed is assured, assuming we do not lose to any NY bottom-feeder at home, regardless of tomorrow's result.

not a bad deal.

Texans are getting a really raw deal from the refs this drive.

So far this drive:
  • Terrible spot on 3rd down catch that was clear short
  • Watt looked back behind the ball by the time the OL jumped in response
  • Missed hold around the edge on Watt (bear hug around his neck)
  • Missed block in the back on the Darnold scramble

Welcome to the portion of our programming where the team we are rooting for gets flagged to death.
