Here’s a rundown of the talented interior offensive line prospects and possible targets for the New England Patriots:
FIRST-ROUND TARGETS
Isaiah Wynn, OG, Georgia (6-foot-3, 313 pounds, N/A 40-yard time): Versatile and technically gifted prospect. Wynn has high-level starting experience at both left guard and left tackle. He moved to left tackle last season and flourished. Compact frame, with average arm length which is why he’s projected to move inside to guard. Wynn is a plug-and-play prospect from the minute he’s drafted. As fundamentally sound a blocker as you’ll find in this class. With traits to be effective as both a zone and power blocker, Wynn is close to the total package. He’s solid in the pass protection, has a strong anchor, impressive hands, and shows great mobility. I picture Wynn becoming a Pro Bowler early on in his career.
For the Patriots, Wynn doesn’t fill a significant need and guard isn’t usually a targeted position in round one in terms of value. Wynn might be too good to pass up for New England even if it’s with pick No. 23. His versatility would make him an even better fit than many other linemen available in round one. He doesn’t have typical measurements of a left tackle, but he’s at least shown he’s capable of performing at a high level vs. the top competition in college. If the Patriots believe he can consistently play left tackle, then he suddenly becomes a very real option for that pick. Either way, Wynn is one of the highest floor players in the entire draft.
Did he expect anything different in Dallas? The only place he'd get a worse reception would be Foxborough with New Orleans just a little behind. The boo's are getting to Roger a bit.
Depends how far back in the 2nd he falls.Ravens gonna draft Jackson. Pats maybe go Rudolph?
They're not taking Jackson! This is BB we're talking about.Pats think they can get Jackson at 31?
He's 6'3, so not a big difference. His body proportions are similar to Matt Light. Light was an inch taller, but a bit lighter. Wynn's arms are .12 inches shorter. He seems like he could be pretty good under Dante's tutelage. Any improvement to the offensive line is fine by me.Does this guy really project to left tackle? Thought I saw that he’s 6’2”. Seems a bit shorter than the Pats like for a tackle.
Really don’t want to reign on the parade there but that’s one team that really needed defense over offense.Ridley to ATL
Agree, and I love seeing the future Tide wideout parade down there. But imagine being told unironically this was a good pick because White is no longer there, they need more WRs.Really don’t want to reign on the parade there but that’s one team that really needed defense over offense.
Great they have Julio Ridley and Sanu and can’t stop a nose bleed.Agree, and I love seeing the future Tide wideout parade down there. But imagine being told unironically this was a good pick because White is no longer there, they need more WRs.

Pick is already in so it seems open and shut. So close...Jags gotta take Lamar no?
Excellent pick. That defense is really scary. Now this means Lamar will be there at 31. Pats better stay and take him. What a coup if that happensTaven Bryan
Ranked #73 by Mayock, so Steelers saw him very differently.terrell edmunds
rumors had his medicals forcing him into 2nd or even 3rdIs the heart condition scaring folks away from Maurice Hurst? Feels like he's slipping to me but maybe it's his medicals.
That's too bad for him. He's an excellent DT. Maybe the Pats can get him if he slides further however.rumors had his medicals forcing him into 2nd or even 3rd
could do both!!!Bill going to trade down or take another G?
Yeah, but Bill's got a special insight. If Hurst avoids tomatoes and only eats avocado ice cream . . .rumors had his medicals forcing him into 2nd or even 3rd
I wouldn’t rule out Hughes either. Dude is absolute moneyMy short list here is Lamar, Rudolph, Josh Jackson, or Landry
