Zach Allen is a prototypical Patriots D-lineman.
LOL, at the spelling. Think that's the guy that plays for the Padres. Renfrow is the 34 year old receiver for Clemson.
Defense deserved so much better today, Clemson has scored 240 points in it's last 4 games before today
I was just thinking to myself, it's Rob Ninkovich.
Really? He has gotten pressure on the QB and hasn’t lost contain.
Clemson really looks like the product of a terrible conference. Their OL isn't great, and their QB play is pretty lousy . The Frosh might be great in a couple of years, but he isn't much right now
Can BC run routes longer than the sticks??
Who is call BC's plays?
Why do they keep trying to throw wide (and short) on a super fast Clemson team?
When it's 3rd and 5, why is there a route that even exists that only goes one yard?
throw to the sticks.
Can’t rely on YAC against this defense. They close too quickly. Have to get beyond the sticks.
... and then that happens. Ugh.
We’re all thinking the same thing.
Depressing. The defense has played so well and Clemson is still (likely) to win by 4 TDs.
Best offensive play of the night. Pass off the defenders facemask that deflects to an open BC receiver. Do more of that
Was that deflection the longest play from scrimmage?
(And I’m only counting positive plays - the bad snap doesn’t count.)
They've played better than this throughout the season, but they also haven't been tested. Their NCSOS was weak outside of Texas A&M. SC should test them in a couple weeks. Their D-line is the best position group in the country.
LOL at punting there.
If you're going to punt from midfield down 3 tds in the 4th Dillon should not still be playing
I'd agree with the DL comment. QB is a huge problem though
I don't think Lawrence is a huge issue. 65% completions with 18 TD/3 INT coming into the game. 26-35 272 1 TD tonight.
Texas well on the way to blowing a 17 point lead with 8:15 left. Tech has scored 10 in 3 minutes.
Ok. Down 20.
First down: option run. (Gain 2-3)
Second down: screen pass. (Lose 1-2)
Third down: pass short of the sticks
Fourth down: punt
Do I have the script right?
You're talking about Trevor Lawrence? Kid was literally the #1 high school recruit in the country last year. He's considered the 6th best recruit in history according to some well-respected recruiting sites, since they've been tracking that kind of thing. He's about as can't miss a prospect as has come along in a while, and he's had a pretty great freshman year. He hasn't looked awesome today, but he also hasn't done anything to hurt Clemson either, and they'll probably end up winning by 20+.
You called it. I've been asking for Levy for about a quarter and a half now.
Pretty weak call at this part of the game.
Update: now tied.
Fuck you Dabo for trying to run up the score. You're up 27-7 with 4 minutes left, and you're throwing on every down?
17 pts in 4:30
So many mental mistakes between the onside Stone hands and offsides followed by deep shot.
Did Daz really just punt with under 3 minutes to go?
Yup. Sick of the Dabo love. He’s no different.
Texas AD was ejected from the game by a side judge.
Running up the score would be running.
If it had to do with the uncalled late hit on Ehlinger, good for him. That player tech player has been absolved of three targeting calls somehow.
Wow Lil Jordan with a 29 yard TD catch. Texas up 41-34.
23 seconds left though. Plenty of time for TT to score.
Refs have been beyond atrocious tonight . Good for him if he was defending Texas’ players safety.
Texas pulled out victory from the jaws of Todd Orlando being the worst defensive coach in America.
FWIW, this was wrongly reported. It was later corrected that he was not ejected.
Bobby Petrino has been fired.
Down the line, an ass-whipping is waiting for him. Patience. All in good time.
T&P for the motorcycles.
Does Brohm leave Purdue for his alma-mater?
Better chance to win, bigger salary, bigger budget, better facilities. But worse conference by far.
6-4 Northwestern has already won Brohm’s division. I’d much rather be there than play Dabo’s Clemson every year. I think you’re way off base with your last point.
The Big 10 west is vastly inferior to the East, but they’re not winning a championship game vs OSU or Michigan and can’t keep up. And I expect Nebraska to be a contender in two years, and Purdue won’t spend the money to keep up an arms race, at least to this date historically.[/QUOTE]
Does the state of Kentucky not have a nepotism policy? His son and son-in-law were also let go.
Seriously? Every single point—and point differential—counts when you have a committee evaluating how to slot the top four. Hate the system for placing teams and their coaches into this position, not the coaches and players themselves.
