Be nice if both Europeans miss to give Reed two puts. Forcing him to play two on one for 15 holes has been too much.

He probably won't get to 18, so no record. (Plus, match play doesn't count for course records.)
I don't think he was saying it did he was just putting in perspective.
The proper perspective is this has been a pretty freaking amazing round.

Edit: I could have let him speak for himself.

That was an unbelievable day. If Reed had hit either putt on 16 today the house was coming down.

The crowd was very loud and rowdy.

I hope Reed does well because I like the Europeans in the next three matches so the Euros could get on a roll.
The American depth is way better though so I can't see them not getting at least 5 points. The last 6 groups probably all favor the US.

Justin Rose is 36 :)
I assume you are referring to Thomas Pieters, he's 24 but has been pretty damned good so far this week. It will be interesting to see how he holds up on his own.

Edit: Nevermind you obviously meant going last and were referring to Fitzpatrick. Yeah it is a serious front load.

astride the divide
Yeah a bit of a mixed sporting metaphor there. Point being, if it does come down to the wire, Fitzpatrick is going to look even younger than the 12 he looks right now.

Agree with the above that frontloading is the Euros' best chance. If Europe is leading the first four matches by the time the middle of the lineups hit the first tee, things could get interesting even with all the inexperience on the visiting side. I feel like Lefty is a steadying presence in the middle of the U.S. lineup; he won't be rattled if things are going poorly up ahead on the course when he tees off.

Shuttle buses don't start running until 7am, at the parking lot at 6am and there's a gigantic line already.

All out sprint once gates opened by everyone waiting in line at the course. Made it to the 16th grandstands but it's at capacity 20 mins after gates opened. Craziness.

Gonna be a good day.

Enjoy, TFP. Should be an awesome day.

Dumb question. Does NBC stream this online? I have the NBC lLive Extra app on my phone where I can stream it, but I wasn't sure if there was a way to do it on my computer.

Chamblee. "I think Reed spent too much emotion yesterday. And Rory has won majors, so Reed can't win this."

Yeah, that's it. He's spent, it's over. Rory was ultra calm yesterday, too. The dumbest analysis by the dumbest man.

Rumor here is that spieth hurt his thumb high giving Reed yesterday and may not be able to play. If he doesn't, there's a name in an envelope for each team that would then sit out today and Stenson would play that person's opponent. Not sure where that came from though.

FWIW, Live from the Ryder Cup has been showing Spieth warming up. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I hope the gallery can be cool today.
Yeah. 100 knuckle heads out of the 50K on the grounds making everyone look bad and creating a story here. Too bad.

Apparently Rory got a warm reception on the range today, so hopefully that is a start of keeping everyone in line.

This shit happens at every Ryder cup, everywhere. You put 50,000 drunk sports fans in a tiny little space and you have dumbness. I think it's insane to ask the players to behave and act passionately for their side, but also expect, at the same time, that the fans won't. And we all know that a few of those fans will be morons. Europe needs to get over it. And in Europe, the US needs to get over it. It's no different than a 2004 ALCS Sox-Yanks game, or a Man U/Man City game, or a Pats/Ravens game. If you want this event to feel like those events - and make no mistake, everyone involved wants that - then you pay the price of some morons.

And Rory just came to tee 1 and shushed the crowd "jokingly" - please, Rory, don't cry later. You're in the arena and engaging those out of the arena. They will engage back and sometimes as morons.
