Two hours to kickoff and just two posts about this game. One complaining about scheduling and the other saying they accepted a free ticket in the second row because, hey, what the hell.

Gotta be the least buzzed about major American championship in a while.

I've heard others make similar comments. Just something off about it. Not sure if it's because of the awful decision to have the semi-final games on NYE, or the fact we've had a billion bowl games already, or that it's late on a Monday night (which the title game always is, but it still kind of blows).

Yeah all of the above. That and I am still recovering from staying up for the Bengals-Steelers game and I just don't care enough to screw up my sleep schedule the rest of the week.

Fatigue.

Alabama is always in this game, ho hum they are here again.

Clemson doesn't exactly generate a lot of passion from people aside from Clemson fans.

So you get the Alabama fans, the Clemson fans, casual SEC fans hate Alabama and won't watch them win a natty, ACC fans indifferent to Clemson really, both schools are in the southeast, etc.

Monday night is weird.

“@slmandel: Word is tickets are going for less than face value outside the stadium. For the national title game.”

Good lord that's pitiful

Just watched him warm up. Obviously nothing at full speed, but cuts, quickness, looked good. Plus they were near the Alabama sideline and he talked some of his normal smack so he's not hiding. Led the DB final huddle. We'll see when he goes full speed.

So much time and attention put toward analysis of the CFB regular season, rankings, etc., and so little hype for the ultimate point of it all.

Watching on regular for now. Seems to be getting ?static when the crowd gets too loud.
Great block by 16 on that pass for the first down.

Clemson has some serious speed. I could see a repeat of OSU-Bama if Clemson limits the turnovers. Michigan State obviously had cement in their cleats.

I like the coachs corner channel (espn2) but they split the feed and it makes it hard to watch the live plays.
I dont get espn classic in hd or id be spending more time there.

Cable-less bum here, but ESPN3 Sounds of the Game is pretty awesome. Get a lot of marching band and cheers from the crowd.

Pat Narduzzi just revealed Clemson is tipping off run vs. pass based on the alignment of the tailback.

It appears Clem is rolling the pocket on most pass plays. With Watson's mobility, is there a downside to this constant shifting of the pocket?

These kids are too jacked up on special teams. Both teams. Blazing down the field. Someone is gonna break one if they don't don't lay back a little. Can't count on the kicker to make those plays all the time.
