Also Niklas skipped his run for reasons as yet undetermined

I don't think he's a TE ... he weighed in at 224.Mugsys Jock said:The 4.62 by Burton is pretty solid. I know it's pretty linear thinking, looking at a Gator tight end, but he seems to really fit the Hernandez profile.
Without all the murder and such.

RT @DougKyedNESN: I would be surprised if Jace Amaro gets drafted in the first round.SeoulSoxFan said:I haven't been a big Amaro fan, and he posts a 4.74.
I've been a huge fan of CJ Fiedorowicz (yeah, I can spell that w/o looking it up), and he posts a 4.76.
Then there's Ebron with a 4.50 / 4.50 -- Christ that dude's going to be a monster.
I don't really buy this. For one thing, that's pretty much true at the NFL level too (needing to practice/play hurt). For another, it seems the additional competition level is going to be more than worth it.mascho said:James Christiansen of @NEPatriotsDraft is speculating on Twitter that the quality and depth of the Alabama roster is a detriment to these guys when they try and get to the pros. Referenced comments from Eddie Lacy that guys would practice hurt because if they didn't, they were sure to lose their job.

5.48 40 time (slowest among all interior OL), 1.81 10-yard split (4th slowest among all interior OL), 4.86 shuttle (2nd slowest among all interior OL), 22 bench reps (tied for 3rd lowest among all interior OL).Shelterdog said:What happened with Yankey?
Maybe this is what you're referencing but I'm reading that several teams failed Kouandijo on his physical, citing an arthritic knee.mascho said:Another Scout (@nfldraftscout)
@nfldraftscout: That said, I know of several teams that talk about Alabama system running guys into the ground. Bama players hit NFL with wear and tear.
I doubt he would either, but I don't know that he's a Pats-type player. He was hardly ever used in-line and there are concerns about how much of his production was due to the system. He didn't distinguish himself today. I think grabbing Niklas in the 2nd or Fiedorowicz in the 3rd is better value than Amaro in the 1st.soxhop411 said:RT @DougKyedNESN: I would be surprised if Jace Amaro gets drafted in the first round.

I still think the Pats draft him in the first if he is still there. Because I doubt he will be there in the second when they pick again
I wonder if part of it is less projectability because of the high quality of coaching they get in college.mascho said:James Christiansen of @NEPatriotsDraft is speculating on Twitter that the quality and depth of the Alabama roster is a detriment to these guys when they try and get to the pros. Ebron's official was a 4.60 - still very good but a far cry from Vernon Davis territory.SeoulSoxFan said:I haven't been a big Amaro fan, and he posts a 4.74.

I think it gives you some evaluation of a combination of his lateral movement and vertical movement. We can see the vertical movements in the 10s, the 40s – 10-20-40, that’s all one drill. The shuttle drill, for the skill players, which is a 60-yard test but it’s all vertical. The 20-yard 5-10-5 change-of-direction drill is really a lateral drill. The L drill or 3-cone drill combines a vertical and lateral element with it.
Q: One more on Lombardi. How come you didn’t hire him in those five years he wasn’t with any team?Super Nomario said:Lost in the hubbub over Belichick cutting his Combine press conference short, he did give a coherent answer as to why the Pats value the 3-cone drill:

Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 2m
I wouldn't really care about Mayock's anti-Clowney crusade if his takes didn't seem to move needle for NFL teams, but I'm afraid they do.

Can the Pats offer any package to the Texans for a move up? Multiple #1's and #2 picks? Can we pull a Saints/Ricky Williams thing? He's actually worth it.
