At the end of the day, they led wire to wire and the Bucks never had the ball with a chance to tie it.

Yeah it got close but the other team is really good and trying hard too on national TV. Great win any way you slice it.

Most of them tonight were Giannis and Brook being big as fuck. Only 2 or 3 were from a lack of effort imo.
There was at least one (Jackson Jr I think) putback dunk with 3 Celtics at the rim who neither boxes out nor left their feet that made me want to scream

LOL, the only reason this game got close was because the refs swallowed their whistles when the C's went to the hoop in the 4th.

And you know what happened, that useless 3 at the buzzer had the Bucks cover the 4.5 point spread.

That shit was almost scripted. Scott Van Pelt should be all over that bad beat.

Dude you got called out for what you said. Save the woe is me act.

You posted something that basically no one that’s reasonable agreed with. Own it
On a night when absolutely nobody was criticizing Brown, it got a little tiresome to read so many posts from people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about Jaylen Brown.

It got slightly uncomfortable late but I think that was a great win. The defense was fantastic. Held Giannis in check and it took some Dame threes at the end to make it semi-interesting but I never felt like the C’s were going to cough it up. Tatum struggled in the fourth but if he’s sick I’m sure he didn’t have a bunch in the tank. No complaints. 12-3 onto Orlando.

No lead is safe across the NBA. Please check the box scores. Teams make runs and these guys have a lot of talent. Middleton was always going to hit a few and we knew Dame had this gear. They aren't blowing these guys out across a lot of minutes. Or a series.
All true, but this is 4 straight with late-game issues for this team. Fortunately tonight they built just enough of a cushion.

(I suppose the positive spin is that they’re consistently putting themselves in position to win games, and have had late leads to protect - sort of like how LOB can be a misleading baseball stat.)

If by “people” you mean “one person posting the same thing 37 times,” yes.

Refs absolutely in Vegas' pockets. Celtics win comfortably without them inserting themselves.

Thank you for your opinion.

What wouid stop this is if the bad faith actors just admitted they don’t like the way Brown plays. 4 6 3 DP admitted his bias on the main board. I wouldn’t rub it in his face because he’s self aware.

However, the other posters who pretend like they’re down the middle but continuously make ridiculous posts? Fuck that, I’ll continue to post the way I do until there’s some sort of apology

Brook must be annoying as fuck to play against. He is 7 feet and about 800 pounds and throws all of it around all game, and can drain threes.

The Porzingis foul shit is getting a little out of control particularly the Ts. Stevens needs to influence that

Anyway, what we saw from Jaylen tonight is exactly the type of evolution that can go a long way for this team. I can’t remember the last time I saw him moving the ball as well as he did tonight, and his 2 man game with Porzingis could be a game-changer. Defenses have been collapsing on Jaylen for a long time, if he can start using that to get open looks for others and reduce pressure on his own dribble, it changes the entire offense.

I’ll own that. Can you own that you posted something about waiving hands for the ball that’s patently fucking ridiculous (on the main board no less)?

He was back for the Philly loss. But the C’s are a total -3 in regulation in their three losses. An average, in case you don’t have a calculator, of -1 per loss.
Have they been down double digits in any game this year? I have no idea if that’s something one could find, but I can’t recall it happening.

My takeaway from tonight is they matchup well against Milwaukee on both ends. Also that Porzingis’ T problem is out of control, a ridiculous double standard he’s held to unless he’s dropping magic words every night.

It’s very strange. Lopez did way worse the prior possession, while KP said his peace and looked away. Seems every time KP says something and turns to defend and they nail him. Maybe he used Sopranos language or something.

Draymond. No more words need to be said.

Not sure if this is serious but if Joe is worried about 5 fouls on KP with less than 1 minute left in the game he is insane and needs to be fired immediately.

I agree with others that KP technical stuff has gotten weird. He gets more T's for routine complaining than anyone I have ever seen.

Is there any chance Joe benched KP because of the Tech?

I didn't get pulling him the last 2 minutes

Crossed my mind as well.

I have noticed recently KP gets pulled immediately after every Tech, maybe Joe trying to send a message.

It seems like now that his team is relevant Dame is putting in some effort on D but that effort is to be mega aggressive and handsy, at least late game, and dare the officials to call it.

Which is fine, if refs are inclined to hold their whistle for that kind of guard D it will ultimately favor the Celtics.

Tremendous.

Asked Sam Hauser when he had his last alley oop before tonight: “Senior year of high school. It’s been a long time.”
This is the type of shit I was trying to explain to my kids about how it hits a point where the opposition just cannot defend everyone and things open up for people. I was talking about KP not Hauser but it is the same type of thing. I was discussing how KP is WAY better than I thought but a lot of it can be explained by how easy having JT and JB make it for him.

I just rewound and rewatched the last 5:45 of the game. C's up 17.

16 point lead with 4:57 left.

Holiday goes to hoop, hammered, no call, quick hoop the other way.

Tatum missed 3, prob got fouled, then stepped on. No call

On the other end, Lopez gets an offensive board, clears out Dwhite with his off arm, knocks him backwards, no call. Easy putback.

Lead down to 10, Lillard allowed to mug White, KP hits a 3 anyway.

Lillard matches

C's up 10 with 2 minutes to go.

KP gets mugged, complains, they call a tech on KP.

Scal argues the tech helped the C's.

KP yanked for Holiday.

C's were playing Horford/KP that stretch.

Tatum splits defenders, gets the dunk, should have been an and one.

Middleton makes a 3

6 point game.

Tatum gets trapped, and the 2nd guy coming over literally ran into him, no call, he gets it to Brown, who gets it to Jrue, who missed the 3.

Dame hits a step back. 3 point game.

Tatum gets absolutely destroyed at the rim, finally, the C's get a call.

Tatum makes 1.

Lillard gets stuffed by the rim.

C's make 2

Last second 3 to make it a 3 point win for the C's.

Bottom line, the comeback was because Holiday missed an open 3, Tatum literally missed the rim on an open 3, refs let the Bucks hack away and Lillard went Damenova for a couple minutes.

Win is a win, nothing to be concerned about from this game. Vegas had it pegged, and the C's should have easily covered.

We finally had one game thread that was free of criticism of JB.. imagine those of us that really like JB having to read through every other game thread where he's criticized for every time he makes any kind of mistake no matter how well he's playing... and how tiresome that is.

And you had to sit through one whole game thread where the opposite happened.

They've been without one or two of their best players in each of those game except for tonite though..correct? Especially when White is out I'd expect for them to have trouble in the fourth... at least until they all fully learn how to play with one another. He's been very good at making the correct reads and leading the offense in the 4th so far this season and last year as well...

Someone needs to ask him.. because it's beyond ridiculous at this point.
