Charlotte gave us fits when Kemba was at his peak.Ha, nice. Some teams just inexplicably match up well. Who was the crappy team that had our number a couple years ago? Wizards?
nightly +/- is next to uselessExcept, I guess, that Jaylen was a +20.
The Pistons last season.Ha, nice. Some teams just inexplicably match up well. Who was the crappy team that had our number a couple years ago? Wizards?
ahhh, my sarcasm meter is offWhich was what I was saying.
It's just funny how deceptive that stat can be. I'm watching the game, TimeLord is hustling all over the place, making winning plays, looks great, and you look down and he's -5 in a game they won by 8. Jaylen looks like dogshit, has 4 of the team's 9 total turnovers, can't hit the ocean falling out of boat, and he's +20.ahhh, my sarcasm meter is off
thought Jaylen was terrible on both sides of the ball...guess the All-Star voting came out and he wasn't very high
I think Horford killed a guy with a trident. That escalated quickly, didn't it?
Al Horford is Al Horford
Anyone remember who the starting center was on those 2007-2008 Hawks who gave us so much trouble?A 1 vs. 8 Celtics/Bulls matchup would have 2008 Celtics/Hawks potential.
Yeah, started with Mike asking Scal if Drummond was a HoFer - which Scal took to mean Mike thought he was, so he proceeded to sort of gently mock Mike, saying something like, "you must think Dwight Howard is going to get in then."I missed it but apparently there was a discussion during the game where Scal said Derozan is for sure a hall of famer and dwight howard might not get in? And this is really the best the Celtics can do as an analyst? Yikes
Zaza Patchouli Oil?Anyone remember who the starting center was on those 2007-2008 Hawks who gave us so much trouble?
By far the worst part of listening to Scal is watching him belittle other people to boost his own fragile ego. I had a professor in college who always told us to read whatever we were reading as generously as we possibly could before being critical... Scal pretty much never doees that.Yea I listen to a lot of League Pass and Scal is better than most. I actually find him somewhat entertaining. He doesn't fear analytics (ala JVG/Jackson), is not afraid to ask the HC a tough question, and offers opinions on players/style (nothing worse than analysts that go with hot takes -Kyle Draper). BUT he definitely can be condescending, even with Mike (but Mike has lost his fastball)
Tommy was a legend and filling his shoes is impossible, but the Celtics could do a lot worse. If you don't watch LP then watch NBATV, TNT or ESPN and get a serving of their crap.
FWIW...I was at a game recently and he went out of his way pre-game to take plenty of photos with kids/families/fans in the crowd. I thought it was a nice gesture on his part.
If anyone has some suggestions for Scal replacements I'd be interested in kicking them around since I read complaints about him in the Cellar
Nay, good sir: it was the rookie season of one Alfred J. Horford, who did to us all the non-box-score things we've come to expect him to do for us.Zaza Patchouli Oil?
