I’m still not sold on the new guys being offensive upgrades. Yet. I’d prefer Cora working Refsnyder into the lineup somewhere.
With the additions of two new first baseman, I suppose the idea of Ref getting reps there is less likely.

Wasn't Grissom unimpressive last night? Didn't watch the game, but I see he didn't get a hit (although he participated in a successful DP).
Our new infield is soooooooooooo unimpressive, in my opinion. Oy.
Oh well, do try and Geaux, Sox! (And I'll try to watch.)

I was only able to watch a few minutes in which he smoothy fielded a dribbler for a force at home. Of course I'm referring to the 7th inning where Uwasawa got himself scratched off anyone's major league plans, so of course I had to turn it off shortly after.

It was his first game back after a long IL stint and the flu. He made the routine plays at 2B and also made a good decision to go home to force an out.
Here's his spray chart from last night. Here's who else didn't get a hit last night.

Kinda wondering what about Smith makes him the pick for DH. At least over Refsnyder, even against a RHP.

After going 6-11 in his last three games, Miranda was 0-3 last night.

Someone should remind him that he has the right to remain silent this series

Honestly just think they're giving looks to Smith and Cooper to see if either is worth keeping

This is also what I think. So I think Cora will give Smith and Cooper (but I’m not worried about Cooper) more or less daily PAs while Yoshida is IL’d. If Smith hasn’t shown anything by the time Yoshida either returns (or has surgery), it’s onto plan D at 1B/DH/LF: a Refsnyder/Kavadas platoon? Acquiring Tyler Wade from SD? Promoting/acquiring an infielder to play 3B and DHing Devers some?
