Fultz doing nothing on the floor except getting in the way
Anyone happy with what Fultz has shown thus far this year has to be related to him. Aside from a few outliers he has been downright awful the more he's played.

The Pelicans should scare people. Davis, Two Way Holiday, Mirotic and Playoff Rondo can do some serious damage. They are currently destroying the nominal three seed in the West though both the Pelicans and Utah were right behind the Blazers. They may not beat the Rockets but they will give them a hard time if they meet.

They are on Golden State's side of the draw.

The Warriors are winning handily in San Antonio with just over four minutes left in the fourth but within the space of a minute, Kevin Durant and then Shaun Livingston both tweaked their ankles pretty badly. Livingston went to the trainers room but Durant went to the bench, albeit under his own power - its something to watch going forward.

Edit: Durant headed to the locker room to get iced too.

I assumed they get past the Warriors.

Somewhere SRN is cursing me

But seriously, this team is impressive right now.
Hmmm... same Warriors who are now 19-1 in the playoffs since KD arrived, with an average margin of victory of 15 points?

I mean unless you're also assuming the whole team will be hurt (which may be fair?...)

I was kidding. But that was before The Lower Extremity Massacre down by the Alamo.

We don’t count the finals in playoff stats?
He's not counting losses, he's saying they've won every series they played except the one Finals with the Green suspension. Their actual postseason record is 50-15, 11-1 in series and 12-1 soon.

Hopefully the GSW-NOP matchup will be more interesting than the first round series. NOP have some interesting talents. Saw something that said that the lineup of Davis/Mitotic/Holiday/Moore/Rondo outscored opponents by 16.8 points per 100, which was the fourth-best net rating among all five-man lineups (minimum: 200 minutes) in the Western Conference. While surrounding Davis with shooters makes sense, it will be intereting to see how they deal with GSW's size.

Speaking of AD, this play was eye-popping seeng it live as he literally wasn't on the screen when the ball was shot:

Good chance we don't see Markelle in the playoffs anymore (unless its a blowout). McConnell was effective in the 2nd half last night, not sure how Brown can justify handing any minutes to Fultz.

Last night Fultz was floating around setting half-assed screens on offense, it led to a -9 with 2 fouls in 4 minutes.

In fairness, I'm still a little annoyed that Bleacher Report had him #2 in a 2017 Re-Draft a few days ago (ahead of Tatum). So the kid gloves are off Fultz, we are starting to get a larger sample size on his play and NO, he is not a smaller version of Ben Simmons.

Yeah, last night was the night TJ McConnell proved he is playoff ready and deserves minutes. The knock on TJ had been defensive mismatches with him on the court. Brett Brown had a brilliant answer last night, inserting the very physical Justin Anderson when D-Wade entered the game. Anderson bellied up to Wade and threw him off his game while TJ ran the second unit offense. TJ only played five minutes, one more than Fultz, but he took three shots, drove to the hoop, found cutters. Anderson also played limited minutes but he set a tone.
Fultz is no longer a conversation point, not this season, not for Brett Brown. He was everything benhogan described. Lost, on both ends of the court. Miami blocked his penetrations from the top of the key and that is all Fultz has got. Maybe he develops a shot over the summer but that's not likely.
Right now, all that matters is beating Miami and advancing to the next round.

Me: “Welp, this likely pushes off any hypothetical AD trades to the mid- to long-term future.”

Also me, in Emperor voice while caressing hand-carved figurines of Jaylen and Jayson: “Goooood, gooooooooooood.”

Just have to keep Towns with Thibs and he’ll be looking to get the hell out of Minnesota in no time.
