Yes so what was the straw that broke the camel's back? Maybe he literally wore straw and a camel hump.

Close.

It was for not wearing a tie
“@ashstro: Cam Newton violated the team dress code by not wearing a tie, per source. #CARvsSEA”

I hate calling out pro athletes, and he's proven himself tough in a lot of situations, but man Newton shies from contact like few others do from time to time.

Why is breaking both the tib and fib add so much to the recovery time?
I don't think it does. The broken Tibia is the big deal.

At his age they'll do what they did to me (plates and screws in leg) and he could be putting weight on it in a handful of weeks.

And I assume you played sports or did military stuff after?
Played Lacrosse and Hockey in HS and college plus other stuff so yes

My blown out left ankle caused me more problems than my right tib and fib ever had

Wibi is a lax bro? Describe the hat you're wearing right now. And shorts. And flip flops.

No hat
Compression tights and sport shorts
And I do wear flip flops but they are ones with good arch support

Sucks getting old

I wonder what Graham's career would have been like if instead of having Brees and Wilson throwing to him, he had Josh McCown and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

See, this sort of stuff is why, despite the history between my team and theirs, I kinda love that there's a team like the Raiders in the league, who give zero fucks about discipline or rules but as a result make things more fun. Likewise their fans. It's good to get an occasional reminder that Belichick-and-Brady's dominance is not the only reason to enjoy following the NFL.

And the tweet farther down in the article might be the best part:

The Raiders are a fun team in many ways. Carr is the real deal, and seems real down to earth. Everytime I see him throw a TD he looks for his lineman to celebrate with. They seem to love the guy.

I must admit - this Raiders team is fun as hell. Would be easy to root for if the Pats get knocked out (even if they are the reason).

I keep expecting them to fall back to earth like all the Raider teams since Gruden left, thought it was yesterday when they were down 24-9, at home to Buffalo. Maybe it will happen in the playoffs. Maybe not. Fresno State Derek Carr has turned out pretty well.

This is hysterical -- Colts receivers run unabated downfield, turn around, wave their arms and yell "Open!" until Luck lobs them a pass. It's like a game between 12 year-olds and 7 year-olds.

They manage to play the Patriots tough, then lie back down.
This franchise peaked on January 12th, 1969, they just didn't know it at the time.

Forty Seven years of futility, unbelievable.

Them and the Lions, two piss poor excuses for NFL franchises.
