    Yeah umbrella or personal excess liability policies have a broader coverage definition than the liability portion of your regular homeowners policy. Mine doesn't mention defamation specifically but it does say slander and libel are covered including defense costs.

      I think the confusion comes from the fact that the treatment appears to be different based on why the player is suspended.  from what phrenile posted above, salary counts as long as the player is on the active list and the player is on the active list if he is placed on disciplinary suspension...

    Why does he have to suit up for one more game instead of just retiring today? What's the difference between being unable to play today and being unable to play after trying one more game?
