    Jumps out at me that most of the staff are Bloom acquisitions/development regime. Breslow’s additions (among the contributors thus far) are: Anderson Campbell Criswell Slaten Uwahara (Wishful thinking! Haha) Uwasawa Weissert But Bloom didn’t bring in Bailey. That’s the big difference.

    He's popping up. Technically fly balls, but fly balls at 39+ degree launch angles. The hard hit stats are misleading. He's swinging hard, and making hard contact, high up into the air. The weather isn't keeping those balls in the park, the launch angle is. As for pitch type, it's more fastballs...

    Is Connor Wong a starting catcher?

    Teel bats left, Wong bats right. McGuire would seem to be the odd man out. If Wong keeps hitting like this, they can find other ways to get his bat in the lineup when he's not catching. Ditto for Teel.

    Why is that weird? I root for every player wearing the uniform. They do well, the team does well. I want them all to put up their 95 percentile season every season, be perennial All-Stars. Of course you’re rooting for him. If you’re not, why are you a Red Sox fan?
