Reminds me when KD popped his, seeing the muscles retract and jiggle
I tend towards disliking KD, but that All-American Boy coach, model franchise played him in that game was malpractice.Reminds me when KD popped his, seeing the muscles retract and jiggle
Hey Tom, your younger, more mobile peer didn’t last a full series behind our line. Wanna give it a shot?I tend towards disliking KD, but that All-American Boy coach, model franchise played him in that game was malpractice.
Also NFL network was trying to start "Brady to the Jets" rumours.
The difference between Carson Wentz and Zach Wilson is about 7 million dollars.Carson Wentz. I mean there is literally no other lottery ticket upside alternative that is readily available in a year you'll already pushed all your chips in. Especially after getting us fans all overly hyped up for potential playoff berth season (that sure as hell won't happen with Wilson at the helm).
Kind of fitting in way though, as it just doesn't really get any more Jets then seeing this happening. I guess at least now we all get to spare ourselves of seeing the reality check of an already clearly declining 40yo QB being average at best when it turns you can't and shouldn't see Tom Brady in any other 40 year old+ QB.
Joe D deserves every bit of this firing that's coming at the end of the year.
This is one example of many of the snide comments made on this board about Rodgers tearing his ACL without completing a pass for the Jets.If it’s any consolation, the Jets are now number one all time in opening week overtime wins when their starting QB tears his achilles on the opening drive.
Coming back at 40 is going to be unbelievably hard. Kobe was old and he tore his Achilles and was not close to the same. Granted, Rodgers could go back if he was a statue. But it'll be a very long year of recovery. If it's an Achilles he's done, right? Not for the year, for his career.
Kobe has statutes and murals all over LA. I expect NY will do the same for ARog.Coming back at 40 is going to be unbelievably hard. Kobe was old and he tore his Achilles and was not close to the same. Granted, Rodgers could go back if he was a statue. But it'll be a very long year of recovery.
What a shitty piece of luck, this sucks, I was really interested in seeing how this Rodgers thing would go. And it's over in seconds.
What does this mean?Kobe has statutes and murals all over LA. I expect NY will do the same for ARog.
I thought he looked just as unsure and confused as last year. The TD to Wilson really should have been picked off and would have been if not for Wilson's otherworldly hand-eye coordination. They didn't ask him to do a lot.I only watched part of the game but Zach Wilson was decent, I thought?
I think he'll give it a go, he won't hang it up, but Rodgers is a weird guy, who knows what ends up going through his mind or if he'll even accept conventional treatment.Coming back at 40 is going to be unbelievably hard. I thought it was next steps for over 40 superstar athletes with Achilles injuries. Perhaps I took a surreal step. What does this mean?
Doesn't he have about $70M reasons to?I think he'll give it a go, he won't hang it up, but Rodgers is a weird guy, who knows what ends up going through his mind or if he'll even accept conventional treatment.
Marino (when he was still good at 34) and Sonny Jurgensen had late career Achilles injuries. If it's an Achilles he's done, right? Not for the year, for his career.
This is great perspective.Marino (when he was still good at 34) and Sonny Jurgensen had late career Achilles injuries.
Marino played several more good years, but lost whatever pocket mobility he once had. Sonny was 37 and done as a starter, but didn't suck afterwards.
Neither depended on their legs nor were 40, but both played after.
I think he was pretty terrible, but I fell asleep towards the end. That pick he threw to Milano was cursed. Just stared him down and threw the ball directly at him. Those are mistakes you just cannot still be making in your third yearI only watched part of the game but Zach Wilson was decent, I thought?
The Jets have definitely pushed all-in, and to suddenly reverse course and try and tank for a QB undermines everything Saleh has been building. The defense is championship caliber. The Jets could fit Kirk Cousins under the cap from what I read last night from Matt St. Jean. Do you want to try and trade for a Brissett or Cousins? Sign a vet FA? The list is awful. Or do you want to play Wilson, take your lumps and hopefully get another shot to draft a good QB in the draft while keeping the culture you are trying to build?
This team is well put together minus a couple pieces on the OL and QB. It sounds damning but it’s hard to put together a team like this. It really is just add QB. If it were me making the decisions, or if I were a Jets fan, I’d say go after Cousins. You have the roster here to make a push.
Because the Jets want him, so they should rightfully give up any hopes for their own season.
Jets should cast a wide net. Why not? They won't know until they've surveyed the market and gotten feedback whether a deal is out there or not. Luckily TB12 has botoxed his face to the point I don't think he can take any more hits. But... he's going to be tempted and I think Don Yee's phone will ring. Maybe Carr or Jimmy G can be had for the right price too.The Jets could fit Kirk Cousins under the cap from what I read last night from Matt St. Jean. Carr is going to sleepwalk to at least the divisional round of the NFC, no chance.Jets should cast a wide net. Why not? I'm not even going to look up the cap numbers for this one. Why on earth would either New Orleans or Vegas trade QB1s they just signed to long term contracts?Jets should cast a wide net. Why not? They wouldn't. It's an insane speculation.I'm not even going to look up the cap numbers for this one. Why on earth would either New Orleans or Vegas trade QB1s they just signed to long term contracts?
Neither team is going far, Caleb Williams is sitting there if you bottom out, and they might exact a King's ransom from a desperate team? I'm not saying either is likely, but I'm taking the call (if it comes) to find out what the Jets will put on the table.I'm not even going to look up the cap numbers for this one. New Orleans takes the call because they will assume it will be asking for Jameis.Neither team is going far, Caleb Williams is sitting there if you bottom out, and they might exact a King's ransom from a desperate team? This means little, but I tore my left Achilles in 2 places (full tear low, partial tear high) in Mexico over the winter and had surgery there in early February with a friend of the family who is a brilliant trauma orthopedic surgeon. I was out of my boot at 5 weeks, on my SUP at 6 weeks (not real smart, but there were tons of dolphins out front and I wanted to see them up close), on my mtn bike at 9 weeks, and did my first 3 mile run right around 11 weeks. Granted, I was taking HGH, which I started after a serious hemorrhage of an inoperable brain tumor 7 years ago, and I'm sure that helped. But I'm also 66 with the inoperable brain issue, and that certainly doesn't help.Get ready to hear about some strange 3-4 month Achilles return plans.
ElAttrache in LA pushing the envelope but I can't imagine an injury Sept 11 could possibly be back in time.
Maybe Feb 2024 for the Super Bowl, but that's a major stretch.
I think Andy Dalton or Brissett would be a major upgrade for them. Of that list those are the guys I think could take the Jets to a WC spot if their defense is for real.I mean, isn’t it more likely that a QB2 who has at lest been a QB1 is available? Guys I can think of are:
Jameis Winston
Marcus Mariota
Jacoby B
Taylor “You’re Not Gonna Pay a Lot for This Muffler” Heinicke
Andy Dalton
Teddy Bridgewater
Ghosts Darnold
Mitchy Tru Bags
Davis Mills
Bailey Zappe?I mean, isn’t it more likely that a QB2 who has at lest been a QB1 is available? Guys I can think of are:

I was told he’d been immunized against Achilles tears.
Day after hysteria. They wouldn't. It's an insane speculation.
Carr isn't fucking available. People are absolutely out of their mind.
Bro. Even at YOUR geriatric age, you run circles around AR with your fitness, let alone your pitbull mentality. AR has been flirting with retirement for a bit. Who knows how interested he is in this type of recovery process. This means little, but I tore my left Achilles in 2 places (full tear low, partial tear high) in Mexico over the winter and had surgery there in early February with a friend of the family who is a brilliant trauma orthopedic surgeon. I guess my question is, with all the resources available to him, do you think it's possible Rogers may be able to come back some time in late December/early January?
Jameis on the Jets would be worth it for the entertainment value.I assume the Jets have seen enough of Flacco to know what they would get there. His rate numbers weren't that much worse than Wentz's last year.
New Orleans takes the call because they will assume it will be asking for Jameis.
It can never happen because of the history, but I actually think Darnold would be really good in that offense.I mean, isn’t it more likely that a QB2 who has at lest been a QB1 is available? Guys I can think of are:

Agree with this. I thought Wilson looked awful and the Jets had a bunch of fortunate events break in their favor to win that game. Even that TD throw to Garrett Wilson you mentioned could have been picked but he made an unbelievable catch. They prob lose the game by two scores if Josh Allen didn’t have his head up his ass on those two deep throws. Especially the last one when Buffalo was already in FG range that would’ve put them up 2 scores.I think he was pretty terrible, but I fell asleep towards the end. That pick he threw to Milano was cursed. Just stared him down and threw the ball directly at him. Those are mistakes you just cannot still be making in your third year
His TD to Wilson was a bad throw bailed out by an insane play by Wilson.
Theoretically, there’s still upside, and Wilson has sounded more mature and accountable from what we’ve seen of him, but I still don’t think he has an even elementary understanding of defenses.
Looking at the cap for real this time, the Vikings can move Cousins this year and knock off about $10 million. So that part works. But yeah, what would the Vikings want back that would be worth waving the white flag after one game? I would start with next year's Jets' #1 pick, and an impact player on defense. Which seems absurd for Cousins, but they would have to be convinced to sell.So the deal with Minnesota and Cousins is they want to move on from him after this season but want to keep doing a competitive rebuild. The dilemma they have is that they don’t know how they are going to get their next QB after the season especially if they finish 9-8 or something. If they had a crystal ball and knew this year would be 7-10 or something they would likely make that trade. The problem for the Jets right now is the Vikings think they can still compete this year and that they will figure out QB after the season is over. So while it isn’t a strong probability or anything that they would trade Cousins they have some reasons to.
Dalton is a Panther.I think Andy Dalton or Brissett would be a major upgrade for them. Of that list those are the guys I think could take the Jets to a WC spot if their defense is for real.
Brissett is also a Commander, the players cited were possible targets for acquisition, not necessarily free agents.Dalton is a Panther.
Not sure how the cap works out on it but Stafford probably falls into the same pipe dream category as acquiring Cousins.Looking at the cap for real this time, the Vikings can move Cousins this year and knock off about $10 million.
