They’re saving that for when Brady reboots Cocoon.I wonder if they ever debated doing the Bucs.
Wilford Brimley was 49 when Cocoon was filmed. Brady’s getting close. They’re saving that for when Brady reboots Cocoon.
That's wild. I had to double check that and I'm still not sure I believe it.Wilford Brimley was 49 when Cocoon was filmed. Brady’s getting close.
The one that gets me is that Carroll O'Connor was 46-47 when All In The Family debuted. He always looked like he was in his mid-to-late 60s to me.That's wild. I had to double check that and I'm still not sure I believe it.

I need more depth here.Rita Moreno is 90, that is pretty damn impressive.
It looks more palpable than most movies aired at the older crowd, I'll say that. It has star power but I wish it was more authentically Boston because there is a lot of specific humor with older Boston women that would be funny to people like me.
Robert Shaw/Quint was only 47 when Jaws was filmed but always looks much older to me.That's wild. I had to double check that and I'm still not sure I believe it.
Well he was 70 in drinking age.Robert Shaw/Quint was only 47 when Jaws was filmed but always looks much older to me.
Yep this.It looks soo dumb but I will definitely be watching just for the nostalgia
I imagine it’s something like Mommy Dearest but instead of no wire hangers, it’s Brady yelling, “I told you no nightshades!”Do they starve that kid?
Waller? He's been quite lousy for over a year now. Can't really rely on him at this point.I thought Tommy has made it abundantly clear he hates the NE weather and has no desire to come back.
My $$ would be on Vegas if he decides to keep playing, they can cut Carr and save 33M on the cap and likely get Brady in for less than that. I'd imagine throwing to Adams/Waller would be appealing and being closer to CA playing for a coach he had a great relationship with would as well.
I don't think he's coming back or I'm not sure I want him back for 1-2 years but he didn't complain once I remember here about the weather until he left and tried to make his wife happy in Florida.I thought Tommy has made it abundantly clear he hates the NE weather and has no desire to come back.

I think it's doubtful as well, but the article mentions the Pats could have $100M in cap space.I find it hard to believe he'd end up back in New England, particularly if the supporting cast on offense doesn't receive a significant upgrade.
Didn’t Adams sign a long term deal with LV in part because of his relationship with Carr? I’m sure the money will help him get over it and these guys are pros, but I can’t imagine he’d be psyched for a year with Brady and then wilderness for the rest of his contract.I thought Tommy has made it abundantly clear he hates the NE weather and has no desire to come back.

They could also sign/draft line guys and Tommy seems to have mastered calling protections, sliding in the pocket, and feeling pressure.I can’t imagine he wants to risk his life behind our O-line at the moment either.
Exactly. Offensive line seems to be a movable feast from year to year with a lot of teams. Could look entirely different next year. Not that I remotely think he's coming back here. They could also sign/draft line guys and Tommy seems to have mastered calling protections, sliding in the pocket, and feeling pressure.
Yeah, we've turned the page and need to keep it turned. Time to focus on moving forward not backwards.Oh for heaven's sakes, this is nuts. Brady will be 46 next season. What would they be trying to do, with arguably the fourth-best roster in their own division? If he wants to keep playing, go somewhere else ... anywhere else.
Ugh. Nothing against you, and you're certainly not alone in your opinion. but Ugh. No value in kicking the can down the road for a guy whose upside is getting you within squinting distance of a Lombardi, with a downside of putting you in draft/rebuild purgatory for another five years.I find it hard to believe he'd end up back in New England, particularly if the supporting cast on offense doesn't receive a significant upgrade. The Pats roster doesn't seem like a QB away from a Super Bowl right now, and I would think that Tom would be looking for that type of situation. I guess they have a ton of cap space and could do some other stuff too, but I still think it seems incredibly unlikely.
But if it happens it would be fucking awesome.
I know that a lot of people have looked very silly when they have tried to underestimate Tom Brady. And I know we say this every year. But there's going to be a cliff. I don't think his decline when it comes -- and it will -- is going to be gradual. One thing is for sure, he's not retiring any time soon. He's still got it - and if he can get a team with tools, he'll continue to have it.

Maybe. I don't think Mac is the guy. If they draft someone next year and get one year of Brady (who I think can still play) that's not the worst outcome, particularly if they spend the cap space wisely. But, it's a moot point because I think the chances of it happening are basically zero.Ugh. Nothing against you, and you're certainly not alone in your opinion. but Ugh.
