The Post and Heyman aside, I think it’s weird that the Sox are almost totally absent from these. The most notable was a speculative
piece in the Athletic where they asked the founder of Baseball Trade Values to use the trade sim to make theoretical deals with 10 teams. The Sox — who theoretically do have the prospects and capacity to absorb Corbin — weren’t on the list.
The simplest explanation is that we’re truly not in at any level, and maybe so. But as one of the wealthiest franchises in MLB who actually do have the prospects, I don’t get that.
