Three months ago, who on the planet would have thought that the Masters field would include Tiger and not Phil, instead of the other way around?
The other big thing is that it doesn't allow him to practice nearly as much as well. So putting/chipping suffers because he can't put in the work like he used to.And there's the rub. I was reading an article (yahoo I think?) where he admitted to playing "weekend warrior" golf. His game was holding up fine when his longest walks were from cart to green. How will it be when the legs start to tire a bit?
I'll be there Thursday. I have "Garden" tickets. Potentially seeing Tiger in person has me beyond excited.Anyone going to The Open this year? I just grabbed a ticket for Thursday.
I'm likely going to try to attend a day of The Open...in St. Andrews. I assume you're talking about the US Open?Anyone going to The Open this year? I just grabbed a ticket for Thursday.
Nice. Maybe we can meet up. I’ll send over a DM when we get closer.I'll be there Thursday. I have "Garden" tickets. Potentially seeing Tiger in person has me beyond excited.
Yes, US. I capitalized The in error. Or did I.I'm likely going to try to attend a day of The Open...in St. Andrews. I assume you're talking about the US Open?
I can't wait for the US Open, btw. The two major championship courses I've played the most are The Country Club (50+ times) and The Old Course (c. 30 times), and I get to enjoy them both of them a month apart from each other this year. Bliss....
World Rankings of these guys today:Bubba, Poulter, Westwood, Na appear to be headed to teh Saudi's. What a disaster, this thing is going to tank hard.

He’s announced his participation in the three tournaments opposite Saudi events (Canadian, Deere, Rocket) so it seems like pretty obvious timing to me.Bubba just posted his schedule on Instagram which is all pga events. Weird timing. Maybe distancing himself from the rumors
Brutal miss. Just lost focus at the end there, marring what was a good day for him.And Spieth just missed a par putt on #18 which I'm pretty sure was less than 18 inches long. (That after missing a 10-footer for birdie.)
Sox and Celts are on, you may be the only person on this board watching golfThis is going to be fun down the stretch
I'm taking one for the teamSox and Celts are on, you may be the only person on this board watching golf
I told my wife I've hit that sort of shot beforeLowry just made this much more interesting.
Hahahahahha what? He led the entire tournament in strokes gained tee to green this weekend, and approach shots were his strongest area. He hit the absolute shit out of the ball and won with a negative putting performance. He's so talented that he was able to overcome his swing for the most part today
I'm talking about the over-the-top move he practices right before he pulls the trigger on every shot - that is not the look of someone full of confidence. That's the look of Sergio Garcia when he was waggling the club 20 times before pulling the trigger.Hahahahahha what? He led the entire tournament in strokes gained tee to green this weekend, and approach shots were his strongest area. He hit the absolute shit out of the ball and won with a negative putting performance.
