Right.Bill Russell: two NCAA championships, gold medal in the Olympics, and 11 NBA championships.
If you want to maximize probabilities to win a championship you have Russell at center or Brady under center

And JBJ patrolling center!Right.

TB12 punking Schefter on the biggest scoop of his career would be just awesome. The practical side of me thinks this is just TB12 getting out of the way of the playoff games
But I want chaos
I agree that Brady will be remembered as a Patriot. But he did win a title with the Bucs, something Montana never did with KC. So they’ll think of Brady as theirs too. Which...kinda bothers me a little.I think the one-day contract thing is silly. He will get the appropriate retirement ceremony in Foxboro in time, and it will be epic. Nobody is ever going to think of Brady as a Buc, any more than people think of Montana as a Chief.
Edit: or what he said.

JUST IN: Tom Brady Sr. tells @kron4news that his son is not retiring. Brady Sr. says an online publication started circulating an unsubstantiated rumor. However a number of NFL insiders are now reporting it. @kron4news #TomBrady #NFL
He drove it in for the tying TD. We just don’t know whether he’s playing the Rams or Falcons yet.It was 28-3 at 3:30pm. Now it's 28-20 and the Falcons are in FG range.
Yee released a statement to some reporters already, so I think that’s all we get for now. It'll be something if we don't get a definitive statement from Brady before the games tomorrow (which at this point I don't expect).
If he wants (the option) to play for a different team next season he needs to be released before he "retires"?Is there any chance he wants something behind the scenes---booting Arians, or something else?
Maybe he just wanted to pound on Schfety as payback for Deflategate.I really hope there was just bad/premature reporting here, and this wasn’t orchestrated drama from his camp. That would be a really bad look, IMO. But he’s increasingly become a social media brand, so who knows?
We’ll, that I could get on board with I guess.Maybe he just wanted to pound on Schfety as payback for Deflategate.
How would that benefit him? His retirement will get a ton of coverage as it is.I really hope there was just bad/premature reporting here, and this wasn’t orchestrated drama from his camp. That would be a really bad look, IMO. But he’s increasingly become a social media brand, so who knows?
Social media managers are 25 years old and I'm guessing whoever tweeted that was trying to be proactive and congratulatory. But it is weird that it was tweeted, regardless. How would that benefit him? His retirement will get a ton of coverage as it is.
This looks like amateur hour with his own company tweeting out a congratulatory tweet.
Agreed, I’m pushing back on the idea this was orchestrated because it doesn’t benefit him.Social media managers are 25 years old and I'm guessing whoever tweeted that was trying to be proactive and congratulatory. But it is weird that it was tweeted, regardless.
I don’t know, but it seems like the old metrics of good/bad publicity have changed to any/all attention, as long as it can be dragged out in this era. I’m probably, hopefully way off base. How would that benefit him? His retirement will get a ton of coverage as it is.

What about that game in 2000? They were 2-8 when he played--guess they could have been technically still alive.Won’t happen. He walks away as an MVP candidate, who never played a game out of contention for a championship.
I'm calling you correct. That's super lame. And it will fade away pretty quickly. No one thinks of Joe Montana as half Niner, half Chief.View attachment 48927
See... I get that he played for Tampa, but this really annoys me. Call me childish. I don’t care.
Schefter was pro brady/pats and destroying the NFL through the entire deflategate processMaybe he just wanted to pound on Schfety as payback for Deflategate.
Seems legit!Yeah, this all does sound kind of fishy to me. If Brady did decide to retire, why would he let Schefter announce it in the first place? Okay, maybe he made the decision to retire and one of his friends leaked it to Schefter, but that doesn't sound likely... his closest circle would want him to announce it his own way. I'll go with this crazy conspiracy story for now until we have more info: Brady told Tampa that he hadn't made up his mind but he was leaning toward retiring, and then Tampa leaked the retirement to Schefter to get out of paying him his $15 mil bonus.
Episode 10 hasn't aired yet?Maybe the plan was to go on a brief vacation outside the US, wait until the Super Bowl was over, and then put out Episode 10 of Man in the Arena with a retirement announcement.
No it hasn’t. They were waiting to finish it up. Gee I wonder what was the reason?Episode 10 hasn't aired yet?
It annoys the shit out of me.View attachment 48927
