Yes he is.Jota is the signing of the year.
I think he had to fill too many roles, most of which didn’t fully fit his strengths. He’s not a 9, but my memory of him there was primarily attempting to do that.Yes he is.
Was good at Wolves but never like this.
Not a foul for me. Feet coming together on a 50-50 ball. No intent in it.Why?

Disagree.Does intent matter? On a 50/50 ball Robertson was late and caught Welbeck's foot. Its only a split second late but its still a foul.
You’re flat out wrong. Welbeck had no chance at the ball. None.Does intent matter? On a 50/50 ball Robertson was late and caught Welbeck's foot. Its only a split second late but its still a foul.
Careful of what? They’re up to.. 5 points lost to bullshit VAR calls? More? They have no shot at the title at that pace.Disagree.
Pool best be careful here:

Welbeck’s challenge was just as dangerous, if not more. He was out of control and past the ball.Robertson swung his foot at the ball, missed and caught Welbeck's foot. Does it matter where the ball is?
So it’s definitive. It wasn’t.FWIW embedded Toffee Tim Howard thinks it’s a foul
They don’t?Careful of what? They’re up to.. 5 points lost to bullshit VAR calls? More? They have no shot at the title at that pace.
They don’t adhere to the standard of error like the NFL actually does (mostly). If they did it wouldn’t be a vlusterfuck. 2/3 of VAR calls vs LFC would not have been made:What can you even say anymore, that was an insane decision to deem a ‘clear and obvious error’. Welbeck feeling the contact then dropping after 3 more steps was the cherry on top
You can forgive Zomp for not knowing what a real penalty looks like anymore as it’s been a while since he’s seen a match without one.

There is no just universe where two people kicking lightly at a bouncing ball should end up a penalty kick.
You have forgotten more about the sport than I know, so don’t take this the wrong way, but why should we accept that the naked eye is superior to the technology, even with its understood limitations? For the billionth time, the technology is not capable of making that decision. Framerate does not allow for fractional calls like this. Fuck this sport.
The purpose of the offside rule is to prevent goal hanging. It gives the manager and defenders some agency in being able to establish where the match is played. You have forgotten more about the sport than I know, so don’t take this the wrong way, but why should we accept that the naked eye is superior to the technology, even with its understood limitations?
I provided some calculations upthread. The camera’s framerate creates uncertainty. Players and the ball can move on the order of more than a foot between stills. There does not seem to be a standard for what still is selected for the offside decision. Using pixels to determine offside is completely arbitrary. The uncertainty must be incorporated or it’s a total coin flip of a decision with no basis in fact. You have forgotten more about the sport than I know, so don’t take this the wrong way, but why should we accept that the naked eye is superior to the technology, even with its understood limitations?
Burnley sucks in every way imaginable, down to their crest which I hate. I am ready to see them go away.I’m absolutely ready for Burnley to be relegated they’re somehow going back in time in their tactics. It’s al long balls to the forwards and hoping to win a second ball or free kick. It’s like a Premier League time machine
