YIKES is right. The two highest picks that BB has used on a WR are Chad Jackson (36) and N'Keal Harry (32)
They have combined to play 30 games, catch 44 passes for 442 yards and 6 touchdowns.

i get the denver is terrible sutff but miller sutton fant boyce gordon and casey was all missing and they were all startser going into the year that denver num 1 def player 1 wr 1 te 1 cb 1 rb and 1 deI'm not good with it. Denver is terrible. They should not be ahead of Miami, let alone NE, despite this weekend.
Although a case can be made for Miami ahead of NE. NE's offense could just be horrendous. Maybe it was the lack of practice, but look at Tennessee. The thing about the Pats is that you do expect them to get better as the season progresses. But their offense sucks. They don't have any tight ends. Edelman is washed. The running backs, excluding White's pass catching, are just average.
Harry, relative to so many studs who have been drafted over the past two years, absolutely sucks. I will not hear any more commentary about Harry needing time. Justin Jefferson. Chase Claypool. Do they need time?
Fair point on the talent on the team.i get the denver is terrible sutff but miller sutton fant boyce gordon and casey was all missing and they were all startser going into the year that denver num 1 def player 1 wr 1 te 1 cb 1 rb and 1 de
denver will most likey lose to KC next week but after that LAC ATL LV MIA and no gives denver a shot to go 4-1 dont be surprised if denver finish 8-8 or 9-7 and makes a run at the 7 seed only lost by 2 to Tenn and 5 to pitt and the teams denver has lost to is 14-2 combine
Indy and Vegas are pretty good, but I agree with your general sentiment. I think getting rid of the space between Indy and Miami and having 5 teams in that tier is my list. You're being modest about your Phins. On a neutral turf, I'm taking Miami over Indy, LV, and even with Buffalo.
I would feel better if Miami’s offense looked better last week. We’ll feel out how Tua integrates into the offense. I think Miami’s D and special teams are for real but the offense might take a few weeks to gain traction. You're being modest about your Phins. On a neutral turf, I'm taking Miami over Indy, LV, and even with Buffalo.
NE at 8 and Miami at 10 is...bold.
KC Pit Bal Buf Ind LV Ten NE Cle Mia Den Hou LAC Cin Jax NYJ
Not really. Miami has beaten basically no one.NE at 8 and Miami at 10 is...bold.
Beat the Rams. Currently 9th in team DVOA.Not really. Miami has beaten basically no one.
A case can be made and it starts and ends with COVID...but it's a weak case.Beat the Rams. Currently 9th in team DVOA.
Beat Arizona on the road. Currently 11th in team DVOA.
Miami is 10th in DVOA. NE is 25th. But you’re probably right.
So you have the Dolphins making the playoffs? That alone should place them ahead of NE, at this juncture. And New England beat Miami and Baltimore. We’ll talk after the Dolphins get blown out in the first round.
I am putting PITT second, but really, they are they that impressive? They have beaten 1 good team (BAL, which I am not sure if they are really all that good) and 1 pretty good team (Tenn) - the other wins are against Giants, Eagles, Broncos, Cowboys, Texans, Bengals and Browns of which 5 of those teams range from bad to pathetic. Still, they are undefeated, and I cannot justify any other team above them ...
You've been patiently waiting what, 20 years to write this?So you have the Dolphins making the playoffs? That alone should place them ahead of NE, at this juncture.
As a Miami fan living in NE, it's been fascinating to see how quickly some Patriots fans have have stepped away from the ledge and hushed on the, "Blow it up!" for a QB talk after needing a 4th-quarter comeback to beat the Flacco-led Jets, followed by a weather-assisted win over the Ravens. (Note: Sarcasm aside, the win over Baltimore was impressive. But the stars certainly aligned a bit for that one.)
The Patriots are 4-5 and their remaining schedule is: @HOU, AZ, LAC, @LAR, @MIA, BUF, NYJ
How many of these games do you see NE winning?
You've been a fan of a team that's won 6 Super Bowls over the span of 20 years, and you're tweaked over reading a Miami fan rationalize their place above said team in an AFC Power Ranking thread? Holy snowflake. You've been patiently waiting what, 20 years to write this?
Good for you, the Dolphins are actually relevant again vs being nothing more than ants at a picnic.
Come back and talk to us when they actually, oh I don't know, win a playoff game.
Something that hasn't happened in 20 years.
Yeah, that was incredibly petty and obnoxious. You've been a fan of a team that's won 6 Super Bowls over the span of 20 years, and you're tweaked over reading a Miami fan rationalize their place above said team in an AFC Power Ranking thread? Holy snowflake.
Listen, I've been a Dolphins fan since '86-ish. The experience of the last 2 decades make your written words feel like a warm hug. I'm definitely looking forward to a future playoff win!
Are we ranking where each team will end up at year end in the standings or their relative strengths? In my eyes the Patriots are the better team currently, but will probably end up losing to LAR, Buf, and Mia to finish 8-8. Having the only starting QB to come down with a case of COVID and miss significant time as a result absolutely matters along with playing the Ravens and Texans instead of the Jaguars and Bengals (I would expect Mia to lose to Bal because they’re frauds). So you have the Dolphins making the playoffs? That alone should place them ahead of NE, at this juncture.

You rationalizing the Dolphins place in the AFC power rankings here on this forum has nothing to do with my comments, like the power rankings here matter. You've been a fan of a team that's won 6 Super Bowls over the span of 20 years, and you're tweaked over reading a Miami fan rationalize their place above said team in an AFC Power Ranking thread? You think my comment was incredibly petty and obnoxious?Yeah, that was incredibly petty and obnoxious.
There is no world in which the Pats should currently rank ahead of Miami in the AFC.
Yeah, I can't see anyone beating them from here on out, looks like 16-0 for them.Who is going to beat the Steelers in the regular season? Game 16 might be big for the Browns and meaningless for the Steelers. Other than that, where would a loss come from?
You do you.You think my comment was incredibly petty and obnoxious?
"Incredibly" John?
Oh gee; I guess I'll have to learn to live with the disappointment.
I think Miami's finally trending in the right direction as an organization, but I'm certainly not counting any chickens. If the Dolphins are able to win their next 3 games (they'll be favored) -- @DEN, @NYJ, CIN -- which would make 8 consecutive wins, they'll being in good position at 9-3. If that happens, I think they'd have a more than decent shot to split their final 4 -- KC, @LV, NE, @BUF -- for a possible 11-5 record. If that were to happen, I'd be ecstatic; but a lot can happen from now until then, especially in a COVID season. Are we ranking where each team will end up at year end in the standings or their relative strengths? Miami will probably lose to KC, LV, and Buf to finish an extremely soft 10-6. If that makes them the better team in your eyes then enjoy your success. The only people I knew in New England who rooted for the Dolphins did so because the Pats sucked and they looked to root for a winner, so the front running chirpiness from you and your fellow Phins fans in this board is unsurprising.
This is your imagination. We've had a Dolphins-centric thread on this forum for years, and it's remained very active. During that time, the handful of Fins fan contributors have always posted in general NFL threads, such as this one. The only difference now? Miami doesn't suck, and the Patriots might just be average. We'll see. I think your sensitivity to this possibility comes with having enjoyed New England's sustained success over many years. I get it; this sort of change is hard. You rationalizing the Dolphins place in the AFC power rankings here on this forum has nothing to do with my comments, like the power rankings here matter.
It has more to do with this sudden chirpiness from you and other Dolphins fans who've been laying in the weeds for 20 years waiting for the worm to turn.
I've been a Patriots fan since 1968, seen a lot of bad teams, seen some decent close but no cigar teams, seen a 20 year run which will probably never, ever be matched again.
You don't need to be so huffy 9 games into the season, so relax, let's just see where things shake out at the end of the year, sound good?
You think my comment was incredibly petty and obnoxious?

As it stands today, yes, they are what would be considered a normal football team. You should chill a bit on this. You root for a normal football team now, albeit one with the best Coach in NFL history.
You call it what you want.I think Miami's finally trending in the right direction as an organization, but I'm certainly not counting any chickens. I think kids become fans of sports teams for various reasons. But regardless of why, I think anyone who remains steadfast in their fandom through adulthood and 20+ years of suck while the local team enjoys historic success, has earned their stripes.
If you're predicting NE to finish 8-8, with a loss to Miami in Week 16, I think we both agree that the Dolphins are the better team this season. I don't consider saying so in an AFC general thread "chirpy".

Especially when you consider the fact that Tom Brady's gone, Bill Belichick will be 69 by the start of next season, and Cam Newton's a JAG. Shit can change really, really fast for an NFL franchise. Who knows? NE's next 20 years might resemble Miami's previous two decades.
(Now that's chirpiness.)
4 at most @ hou is their best shot and the jets for ne to make the playoffs they need to be 10-6So you have the Dolphins making the playoffs? That alone should place them ahead of NE, at this juncture.

miami has a really good team elway needs to take notes i think tua can be a drew brees type but with running abilty it might take 2 more years for miami to win a playoff game but if tua turns into brees u will have plenty of time to talk smackYou've been a fan of a team that's won 6 Super Bowls over the span of 20 years, and you're tweaked over reading a Miami fan rationalize their place above said team in an AFC Power Ranking thread? Yup, I've seen a lot of downs to go along with the ups. Wherever this team goes from this point forward, I will always be a fan. You have to stick with your team good or bad, thick or thin, am curious to see how many of the Patriots fans who started their fandom in 2001 will stick around if this team goes south.1968 damn kudos to u if i was a pats fan miami would scare me long term brian f is a top 10 coach and he has took a team 32 in talant last season to low teens in talant but they had 100 mil in cap room and 3 1st round picks as well

I mean, Pittsburgh isn't THAT good. It's amazing to me that we're having even a semi-serious conversation about them going 16-0. Their margins of victory in their nine wins:If the Steelers go 16-0 in this pandemic season I’d have to say it would be the most impressive regular season of all time. I don’t care what their schedule is.
