Pass-first PG with good court vision who could get hot from behind the 3 point line and play tough defense...I guess I'd be Jason Kidd.
My apologies!ah ah ah, no off court information - good or bad... lol
Sullinger is an interesting player. Sometimes a player just has to embrace what they are good at.
I was going to say Chucky as he's another rotund emotional guy, as well as my favorite player ever, but thought I'd get laughed out of the room based on his greatness.Charles Barkley.
He's a couple inches taller than me, and while he was obviously a transcendent athlete (albeit in a somewhat unconventional way), he was a superstar mostly because he was insanely intense and competitive. He's also a smart guy with a larger-than-life personality. Who wouldn't want to be that guy?
This deserves some love.Inhale to the Chief! That’s all I’ve got.

Part of the lure of being Chuck is being confident as fuck. Not just “I’m an NBA All-Star” confident, but “I’m a 6-4 dude who’s in the Greatest Power Forward of All Time Discussion*” confident. Which is why, of all the guys I’ve loved watching play over the years, Chuck is the one I’d want to be.Me... the pressure to come up with that good quote would be draining. I'll be the teammate in the corner, just shaking my head at your outrageousness.
I'll still pass on the limelight for myself. You can be Chuck.Part of the lure of being Chuck is being confident as fuck. If I answered based on who I actually am, I’d end up with Tim Legler** or something. That’s no fun.
*- I’m assuming for this purpose that LeBron isn’t in the discussion, because he only played the 4 for a few years. If he’s in the consideration set, that obviously ends the discussion.
**- I’m aware that Legler has more athleticism in his pinky than I do in my whole body.
I like the thinking there. Never leave your home town to have the career you want. That's enticing.Udonis Haslem - a role player who has somehow managed to carve out a 15+ year career playing exclusively for his hometown team, and won multiple championships to boot.
I was waiting for someone to volunteer to be the goat (lower case). I think he gets a bit of a bum wrap... but I'll be honest, yep, I don't like him on the court. Though I'd take him before the other clown from Duke (Allen?).This deserves some love.
First thought for me? Christian Laettner. Who doesn’t love to be hated?
The good news, is that in this thread you stay healthy throughout your career. Go Kansas.Raef Lafrentz.
A big lefty who came into the league with huge athleticism and then promptly lost all of that pretty much immediately (catastrophic knee injury). Despite that he scraped a career as a solid role player and (for the Celtics) valuable trade asset.
I thought of him as well... but I never liked the vibe I got from Kidd. But maybe that's the allure?Pass-first PG with good court vision who could get hot from behind the 3 point line and play tough defense...I guess I'd be Jason Kidd.
But that one skill baby... it's gold.I’d be a korver type. I’m a pretty awesome shooter with very little in the way of other skills
So, um, are you being treated for this split personality thing you've got going on? Lol I like the choices but you've already been given elite athleticism and a feel for the game - and you've decided to be greedy?? Sheesh.Jason Williams on offense, Kobe on defense.
Perfectly willing to risk a turnover for the awesome assist that makes the bench jump. Will knock down threes we’ll enough. Will get angry when an annoying opponent scores and says “okay, they’re done scoring” and then shut them down.
I got to play in an All-Star game at the end of my HS Sr. year and was chosen to start at PG for my team. Scored about 15 points but my proudest achievement was that my guy never scored the whole game.
I'll still pass on the limelight for myself. You can be Chuck.
I think Kevin McHale would also have something to say about the Greatest Power Forward of All Time thing - another player with a quick wit. Malone and Garnett would probably like a turn to speak as well. Hell Rodman shouldn't be overlooked. And probably another 2 or 3 that played before I was following basketball. I like Barkley, and if the discussion is who turned himself into a monster power forward without having the prototypical physique, I'm good with that.
Oh I'm with you. I didn't even like him when he was on the Olympic team. I just couldn't think of anyone else.I thought of him as well... but I never liked the vibe I got from Kidd. But maybe that's the allure?
Andre was solid, not spectacular - you use what you've got, right?Andre Miller for me. I was a point guard who only made the occasional jump shot. I wasn’t fast but I was strong for my size. when I was in high school my coach described me as having an old man’s game.
