After putting nutmeg in their scones?I wonder if those 2 US reps at the English hotel stole the PK strategy.
Gonna be tough with Lavelle and Heath on the benchAfter putting nutmeg in their scones?
no more subsI can't believe Press is still in. She's worked her ass off. Ellis don't care.
This is good message boarding.Independence was actually declared on July 2nd, you know. It just took them until the 4th to finalize the paperwork.
Am I?You're good.
I don't think this is going to end 2-1.
Just catching up with this thread but exactly what I wanted to post.BALL DON'T LIE
Cornwallis had sour grapes too. Can’t wait for the Phil Neville sour grapes speech. It will be delightful.
YellowYellow cards clear after this match right? Any English player in the middle third facing the US goal should be taken out.
to be fair if penalty incompetence wasn't a gender-neutral English trait it wouldn't haveAm I?
This is what I was trying to ask and you answered much more accurately. Gracias.Yellow
s cleared after the quarter final. Only way to miss the Final is to get a red card in the semi final.
Bright is so fucked then.Yellow

The professional scene in the US needs to improve quickly, or American players will be forced to play in Europe to get world-class competition.Taped the game and successfully avoided the final score (though a colleague let slip it was 1-1 in the first half).
And wow, what a first half. The game was electric - all US early, then England, then the US to close out the half. Too bad it was so hot. The second half slowed down with clearly gassed players.
Someone up thread noted that England were the more technical team today. The European sides just keep getting better. The gap is closing quickly now with the professional leagues solidifying (I think Lyon’s dominance is a positive factor here - they have drawn attention to the women’s game and set a high standard for others to work towards).
Amazing how much depth the US has. This squad, even with a couple of world class players pulling hamstrings, is still going to be the favorite on Sunday.
Edit: Also, Sunday evening I flipped on the Chicago Red Stars-Orlando Pride match...and there’s Marta just days after playing in the World Cup. That’s amazing.
Hope she's available off the bench. Offense was much better without her yesterday.ESPN says Rapinoe plans to play Sunday
Could be true, I guess.
I wonder if a large scale Women's Club World Cup could help everyone. I think seeing the Thorns and the NWSL teams mix it up with Manchester City, Lyon, etc. could help get people interested at that level. The professional scene in the US needs to improve quickly, or American players will be forced to play in Europe to get world-class competition.
Of course, it might just be that Sweden is really good at attacking them when they have the ball.Netherlands don’t look as precise in possession as last time out against Italy.
Yup, trying to walk it into the goal as they say.Netherlands really want to dribble it into the box.
I could use a bluffball for life. More than just for footie.
